An Entry-Level NAS Accessible to All
UGREEN, a leading innovator in consumer electronics, today officially unveiled the NASync DH2300 – a network-attached storage (NAS) device built to tear down barriers for high-capacity local storage and data management. Complemented by the DH4300 Plus (4-bay SATA) for users with advanced needs, the series redefines NAS as a practical tool for everyday people – not just IT professionals. For the vast majority of entry-level users, the DH2300 is the game-changer they’ve been waiting for.
60TB to Store All Precious Content
Featuring a 2-bay SATA configuration, the DH2300 supports a total storage capacity of up to 60TB (30TB per drive). This capacity is designed to accommodate large volumes of data, including extensive photo libraries, 4K video collections, daily work documents, and other multimedia content. By centralizing data storage, the device eliminates reliance on scattered external drives or third-party cloud platforms, providing a unified storage solution for users to manage their digital assets efficiently. Notably, the DH2300 is compatible with most NAS HDDs, reducing upfront hardware investment and further lowering the threshold for entry-level users to adopt NAS technology.
Get Started in 10 Minutes
The biggest barrier for Entry-level users is fear of “complex setup” – and the DH2300 eliminates this with intuitive features built for beginners:
- UGOS Pro Operating System: The device runs on UGREEN’s custom UGOS Pro OS, which guides users through the setup process via clear, step-by-step on-screen prompts. The system uses plain language and visual cues, eliminating the need for prior NAS experience. Testing data shows that users can complete the entire setup—including drive installation, network connection, and basic function configuration—in under 10 minutes.
- All-in-One NAS Mobile App: UGREEN has developed a dedicated NAS app that centralizes all core functions, including file management, automatic photo backup, and media streaming to TVs. This eliminates the need for users to switch between multiple applications or learn new interfaces; all operations can be completed with simple taps on the mobile app, ensuring seamless day-to-day management.
- NFC Quick Connection: To simplify network configuration, the DH2300 is equipped with NFC technology. Users can establish an instant connection between their smartphones and the NAS by tapping the two devices together, bypassing complex steps such as IP address input or router setting adjustments. This feature significantly reduces the time and effort required to connect to the device, enhancing usability for entry-level users.
Professional Security to Safeguard Data Privacy
Security is a top priority in the design of the DH2300, with multiple layers of protection to ensure data privacy and integrity, exceeding the security capabilities of cloud services:
- Professional Encryption and Certifications: The device adopts industry-leading encryption protocols, including TLS/SSL, RSA, and AES, to secure data transmission and storage. It also supports two-factor authentication (2FA) to prevent unauthorized account access. Additionally, the DH2300 has obtained certifications from TÜV, a global leader in safety and quality testing, and TRUSTe, a renowned privacy certification organization, validating its compliance with international security and privacy standards.
- Local-Centric Data Security and Privacy Protection: The system stores all data locally to let users fully own and control their data, supports a local account mode that limits access to the LAN only, and includes a File Vault—an exclusive private space that blocks others from accessing private files.
Practical Hardware Features for Enhanced Usability
The DH2300 is equipped with hardware specifications optimized for everyday use, further enhancing its practicality for entry-level users:
- 4K 60Hz HDMI Output: The device features a 4K 60Hz HDMI port, allowing direct connection to TVs for seamless playback of 4K videos and photo slideshows. This feature enables users to enjoy their multimedia content on a larger screen without relying on additional devices.
- Flexible RAID Support: The DH2300 supports multiple RAID modes, including JBOD, Basic, 0, and 1. Users can select the appropriate mode based on their needs—choosing between maximum storage capacity (e.g., RAID 0) or data redundancy for critical files (e.g., RAID 1), providing flexibility to balance capacity and data security.
Pricing & Availability:
True to its mission of making NAS accessible, the DH2300 is priced for Entry-level budgets:
UGREEN NASync DH2300 (2-Bay SATA): $209.99
UGREEN NASync DH4300 Plus (4-Bay SATA): $429.99
