If you prefer a more solid pink look or want to show off more of the RGB lighting through the translucent keycaps, you can swap some of the included keycaps around to create your own look.

Setup is very straightforward since this is a wired keyboard. Simply connect the included USB-C cable to the keyboard and plug the USB-A end into your computer, and it is ready to use. Once connected, you can head over to XVX’s web driver to customize things like the actuation point, Rapid Trigger, RGB lighting, key assignments, and other settings.

Overall Use

After spending some time using the XVX Trooper63 HE, I can easily say this has been one of my favorite gaming keyboards I’ve tested this year. There is just something about the overall combination of the design, typing feel, and gaming performance that really stands out to me. I especially like the feel and sound of the keys when typing and gaming, with each press having a satisfying, crisp click that makes the keyboard enjoyable to use.

The fading pink keycap design is another one of my favorite parts of the keyboard. It gives the Trooper63 HE a unique look without being overly flashy, and the translucent sections really come to life once the RGB lighting is turned on. Speaking of the RGB, it gets extremely bright, and the lighting does a great job of shining through the keycaps and making the entire keyboard stand out on my desk. From a gaming perspective, the Hall Effect switches and adjustable actuation give you plenty of control over how the keyboard responds, while Rapid Trigger is a great feature for fast-paced games where quick movements and repeated key presses matter.
