X-Doria has an impressive line-up of cases for the iPhone 7.

Since the release of the iPhone 7 in October, we’ve been honored to be able to review the awesome line of cases from X-Doria. Today, we finish those reviews with probably the most impressive pieces of the collection the Defense Lux, the Engage Portfolio, and the Revel. All the cases are available for both the iPhone 7 and the 7 Plus, but for our purposes, we will be looking at the version for the iPhone 7.

X-Doria specializes in providing premium protection and design in its products for iPhone and they really push the boundaries of innovation while also providing military grade protection for mobile phones. I’ve been using X-Doria cases almost exclusively for the past 9 months and have been incredibly happy with them. These three cases are also exceptional in design and use.

Defense Lux
The Defense Lux case is stylish and very, very secure. It’s made to protect your phone with a dual layer design. The case has a soft inner rubber layer, which is reinforced by a hard polycarbonate backing. The entire case is outlined with a machined aluminum outer frame. To finish off the gorgeous design of this case, there is a rear panel that is available in Carbon Fiber, soft leather, or croc skin. The case was drop tested to 6’6″ (2 meters) on concrete.

This is quite possibly my favorite case in the X-Doria line-up. It looks great and is awesome for protecting your phone. There is a gentle lip on the case that protects the screen should the phone be dropped on its face. The openings for the speakers, lightning port, and mute switch are quite deep. The problem with this is that the recess makes it hard to use this case with charging docks. That is the only issue I have with this case. I love that this case is protective, but not excessively bulky or heavy. It’s pretty much anything you could want from a case.

Engage Portfolio
This is an unique take on a typical wallet case for phones. Engage Folio is a faux leather wallet case that is equipped with a magnetic latch. The backing on it is clear polycarbonate and snaps onto your iPhone so that the natural design of the phone is highlighted. The inside cover has two slots for credit cards or IDs. It’s a very slim case so you really can’t store much in the wallet part of the case, but it does a nice job of being a designer protective case. All the buttons, ports, and speakers are exposed making it easy to access them all. The magnetic latch helps to keep the case cover closed, but it doesn’t utilize the sleep/wake function of the iPhone. This is a nice option for a slim style case that has a cover to it, but does fall a little short for the wallet feature.

Revel
There are many times that you just want a simple case to protect your phone. For those times, I recommend the Revel case. Revel’s unique feature is the fashion-forward designs and patterns. The case is a simple snap on case with extra tough edges. Revel also has a raised front edge to protect your screen. It’s a very slim fitting case that is quite durable and it protects your phone from edge to edge. I was able to look at both the Tiger and Owl versions of the case and I was impressed with both. The case is easy to install on your phone and it looks great. The colors are vibrant and the design is well-defined.
