Waved gets you talking with your friends and family in just a few words.
Are you looking for a better way to communicate with people in your life? Give Waved a try. Waved in a new social networking app that utilizes short voice messaging as its delivery method instead of text. Waved is completely free with no subscription required for use and it includes dozens of funny sound emojis that you can send in just a few seconds. One of the nicest features about Waved is that you can communicate internationally and not just with people in your area.
So, why use Waved instead of just plain ole text messaging? Because voice messaging is warmer. You can hear excitement, joy, terror, sadness and love in a person’s voice, but you can’t read that in a text message – no matter how many emojis you use. Plus, Waved has taken the text messaging model of short, succinct messaging and incorporated it into their app’s interface so that you are only communicating a few seconds making a Waved message less obtrusive than a phone call.
Another very nice feature of Waved that you don’t get with other social networking apps is that messages are cleared as soon as they are sent. You do not have dozens, perhaps hundreds of texts cluttering up your inbox. You simply create a message and send it to a recipient. Then, it’s done.
Waved is a very simple, clean app. It’s interface is effortless and clutter-free. When you open the app for the first time you go through a short series of set up permissions including connection to your Contacts. When you have a Contact that uses Waved, it will appear within your main screen. From there, you can tap on a Contact’s image to record a voice message or drag and drop an emoji sound onto their image. That’s it. You just Waved to a friend.
I can see this being very useful for communicating among friends and family. It’s a lot safer when doing activities than texting is and you can reach out to someone much easier. For example, I recently had a friend that was going through a rough time. I sent her a few text messages, but didn’t think that she felt comforted. If I had Waved at that time, I could have sent her a quick audio message to let her know everything would be ok and I think that would have done a better job of comforting than my black and white text on her Messages app.
As mentioned, Waved is 100% free and available for download in the App Store. Share the link with your friends and start waving!
