VicTsing Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with Multi-color Backlight is an advanced, anti-ghosting, multi-color backlit keyboard.
I’ve been wanting a good mechanical keyboard with multi-color lighted keys for some time. My problem was that I did not really care to much for keys on most of them. I have found Apple’s Magic Keyboard to be the best fit for my typing needs due to it’s flat keys and laptop-like feel. Some might say, “Why do you like that so much?” and my answer is that my typing flows. Even though it’s what works for me the best, I still wanted the clicking sound of a mechanical keyboard and I still wanted the light flashing different colors to remind me of Christmas lights.
A few months ago, I started shopping around for a keyboard that would give me best of both worlds, but found that all of the flat keyboards that were multi-color mechanical were made from crappy plastic and very dim lights. Despite their low quality craftsmanship, there were still sold at a premium price. With that disappointment I gave up my search and went back to my trusty Apple keyboard.
Then, I ran into a great rep from VicTsing and she introduced me to their Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with Anti-ghosting multi color keys. It looked very promising to me. Their keys were still not flat keys, but the entire outside body of the keyboard was made from metal and the bottom is a very hard plastic. The weight alone makes this keyboard feel like an expensive piece of equipment.
So, how is the sound and colors? It’s using Blue switches and has a very satisfying ‘clicky’ sound. The colors are bold and bright. The Mechanical Gaming Keyboard has plenty of settings to adjust color patterns and I found myself becoming a fan quickly. Here are some of the technical specs on the Mechanical Gaming Keyboard from VicTsing.
- ANTI-GHOSTING TECHNOLOGY. This ensures that when keys are pressed simultaneously they will be reported accurately. Some keyboard don’t protect against “ghosting,” but the VicTsing Mechanical Gaming Keyboard allows gamers to press many keys at the same time.
- MULTI-COLOR ADJUSTABLE LED BACKLIGHT. While there are nine predefined lighting patterns, you also have the option of customizing your own lighting designs.
- KEYCLICK KEYBOARD: SENSITIVE AND RESPONSIVE. The keyboard doesn’t require a lot of force to register the key press and it has a great ‘clicky’ sound. The characters on the keys will never fade because they are integrated into the keys themselves.
- WIDE COMPATABILITY. I’ve already mentioned that I use a Mac, but the keyboard is also compatible with the modern Windows systems including – Windows10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, and Windows VISTA. A key cap puller is also included at no additional charge.
Now, for the few things I don’t like about the keyboard. First, it doesn’t work completely with Apple’s volume up or down, or the brightness adjustments via the keyboard. This being said I just switched to an LG 34 inch monitor and I can’t change the brightness or volume with the Apple Magic Keyboard anymore. So with that, it’s not really a big deal, but something I feel that needs to be mentioned for Mac users. The Windows and Alt keys are normal, but when using a Mac, you have to remember to go into keyboard settings and switch them to keep from being confused. Also because I mostly use a Mac, the keyboard only having a Windows logo key, it’s a small turn-off for me. Because they provide a key puller with he keyboard, it would have been nice to include some sort of replacement key for the Windows logo for Apple fans, but again, this really isn’t a big deal and definitely not a dealbreaker. One other thing, I’ve noticed while using the keyboard, and I’m not sure if it’s due to the metal body or something else, but when I walk up to the keyboard, I feel a shock. It’s sort of a static shock from walking on carpet and then touching the keyboard. Not a problem unless you’re playing with computer parts like a motherboard, RAM, or hard drives, but again something I never had happen while using my Apple keyboard.
Is the VicTsing Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with Multi-color worth buying? This is why your reading the article and is the question everyone by now wants to know. I think for the price yes, it’s an amazing gaming keyboard. It’s got super loud key clicks, beautiful color changing keys with 104 keys, and a very nice design and weight to keep it from moving when getting into the action of your game. I don’t for see anyone going wrong with this keyboard.
