Ventev Powercell 6000c a nice portable battery with built-in cable.
Between work life and personal life, it seems that I am always on the go. There isn’t much time to relax or just settle down for a bit. Unfortunately, this causes several problems. One problem is that I never have enough time to charge my phone, which is literally my life line to the world and pretty much all of my entertainment. Ventev’s Powercell 6000c solves this concern for me, leaving me free to meander about with my daily tasks with out carrying around a charge cable and block.
The Powercell 6000c at its heart is a 6000mAh lithium polymer battery pack. Battery packs are handy. They really have to have something else to become part of my everyday life. When I look for a charging solution the first thing I look at, like most people, is how visually attractive it is. Ventev got the looks down without batting an eyelash. A dark grey aluminum case with shiny bezels is very catchy. Add the orange accents to it and it really pops.
The Powercell is 6000mAh, which is fully charges my iPhone when I am in the red for battery percentage. The standard 2A micro USB slot for charging mean that I can still charge my battery pretty much anywhere where someone has a mobile device or mobile accessory. Like most battery packs in the market there is a standard USB slot to plug just about anything into it and charge. This USB slot is a rapid charge so there isn’t a need to constantly carry the battery pack around while you device charges, you can set it down and do you tasks while it tops you off or gives you the valuable Angry Birds time. At the top, there is a power button and five LEDs battery level indicator lights, so you never have to guess if it will come through in a pinch for you.
What really set the Powercell 6000c apart from the other battery packs on the market is the attached Lightning cable. While having the separate USB slot is handy, having the Lightning cable saves me from having to lug around yet another cord. The cable is only around 4 inches long making it a charging device that you can’t really use you phone while it’s plugged up without looking silly. The Lightning cable plugs into the side of the battery pack saving space and meaning that you will never have to untangle it.
All of this makes it a great solution to my charging dilemma except for the Lightning cable head itself. I like most people have a their particular phone case. Mine just so happens to be waterproof, so the clearances on the the charging port on my iPhone is slim to none. I couldn’t get the Lightning port to work with my case. I do have several cases and about half of them allowed for me to connect. This is kind of bothersome considering I have to switch to a more popular case jail to use it, but the sheer portability of the Powercell and the fact that it has a built in cable makes it well worth it in my mind.
