Great case for ultimate protection.
When you get a new phone, you want to do your best to care for it. I know that I am much more aware of my phone’s condition now that I get a trade-in value for it when new phones are released. One of the best types of cases to get to ensure that you keep your phone in mint condition is the Monarch Series from UAG.
DETAILS
The Monarch Series case is built with top-quality premium materials and is considered an ‘all-terrain’ phone case. It’s been built to withstand 2X MIL-STD (810g-516.6) drop protection. The case has 5-layer construction and features a soft impact-resistant core and protective screen surround. The layers of protection are designed to disperse and deflect energy if confronted with an impact. And even though the case has traction trip and oversized tactile buttons, it still has feather-light construction.

USER EXPERIENCE
The Monarch Series case comes in a nice retail package. The front cover of the box is semi-transparent and you can easily see the case lying inside. The front of the box also calls out some of the most poplar features like the drop testing rating and the color of the case. The back of the box features some additional details including the fact that the case has an armor frame and that the case has a 10-year warranty. When you open the box, you find the case stationed on top of a plastic inset. To use the case, you pull it off of the inset and then install your phone.

The case is semi-rigid. These types of cases are notorious for being difficult to install or remove the phone from it. The sides around the button areas is actually softer than the rest of the sides so that makes the case a little easier to work with. I was surprised at how lightweight the case actually is especially since it has 5-layers built in for protection. The easiest way to install cases like this is to press the volume button side of the phone into the case first and then wrap the case around phone.
One of the things I really like about this case is that it’s protective but still minimalistic. Some cases of this style end up being bulky, but this case is not. It’s lightweight and doesn’t impede anyone from doing regular tasks like storing the phone in a pocket. Even though the case has an intricate design, it will still lay flat on its back. And on the reverse, there is enough of a lip on the screen side to protect the screen from impact.

CONCLUSION
The Monarch case is a very nice protective case that is designed really nicely for the iPhone 12 Pro. I think it does a good job of protecting the phone and looks good while doing it. The ports are all easily accessible with the Monarch case and the buttons are easy to press. If you are looking for a new case for your iPhone, this could be a really good option.
