Need new ideas on what to do with friends? If you’re struggling to meet up, then these apps are a great way to make time to hang out virtually!

Card games, board games, or even online poker are always fun to play with your friends, but if you want to take a bit of a break and try something new, then there are plenty of apps out there that make playing with your friends an absolute breeze! And if finding the time to try and coordinate a meeting is looking more and more impossible, then we have a solution for you.

Whether it’s on the go, on your way to work, for instance, via your phone, or maybe on a bigger screen from your tablet at home, connecting with your friends has never been easier. Especially because everyone has such busy schedules and lives such hectic lives, it’s nice to be able to quickly load up an app on your phone and start playing right away. There’s no need to worry about cross-compatibility, consoles, or anything else. Simply pick up your phone or tablet, and away you go!

Fortnite

The ever-popular battle royale game is available on mobile too! So, if you’ve ever wanted to play with friends, but not everyone has a PC or console to run the game, worry not! Fortnite is available on mobile, and you can keep leveling up and making your way through the battle pass all the same. With aiming options for new players, you can be sure that all of your friends can join in on the fun and chat in your private in-game party as you do.

Among Us

You might have forgotten about this one, but there’s a reason this won Game of the Year Award in 2020! An excellent option for you to play with your friends and really put your friendship to the test. Will you be able to complete all your tasks as crewmates, or will you risk it all and start pointing fingers at one another in an attempt to guess who the imposter is before more of your crewmates are turned into ghosts?

Genshin Impact

Another award winner, Genshin Impact, won ‘Best Mobile Game’ in 2021, and although you might already be playing this on PC or console, you might be surprised to find that the mobile version is just as good, if not better. The portability and cross-save function are great because you could leave off at home and jump straight back in via the app wherever you are and play in co-op mode with your friends!

Mario Kart Tour

Mario Kart has always been, and will always be a Nintendo staple, and across the years, playing with friends on the Wii and then the Switch really never gets old. Well, what if we told you that you could do that on mobile too? Mario Kart Tour allows you to race against your friends with your mobiles around familiar tracks that we love and have grown up with!

Sky: Children of the Light

This open-world game was first developed for mobile and later released on other platforms, so you can be sure that you’ll be getting all the latest updates on mobile! If nothing else, this game is great to play with your friends for the visuals alone! Flying around the different regions together with the soothing music in the background is a really cozy experience, especially if it’s something you want to do in the evening.

Uno

You might be surprised to hear it, but the popular card game has made its way onto mobile as well! So if you’re ever in a situation where you’ve all gotten together, but you haven’t got an Uno deck on you, you can all just pull the app on your phone or tablet! And with tips for beginners, you really can learn from scratch!

nd your friends are word nerds, then Scrabble GO is an excellent option for you! Hasbro’s official app, Scrabble GO functions just like the original, only in a digital format. Get some brain training exercise as well as have fun and see which of your friends has the most extensive vocabulary out of you all!

PUBG

If you and your friends are avid gamers and want something a bit more challenging than Fortnite, then PUBG might be for you. More commonly known as PUBG, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is a battle royale where you race to be the last player standing. Host a private match for just you and your friends and see who wins!

Ludo Star

You’ve probably grown up playing the family-favorite board game Ludo, but if you don’t have your set anymore then worry not! Ludo Star is all the fun packed into a neat little app! Roll the dice and make your way around the board, trying to be the first one to get all 4 of your tokens home! You can even collect different types of dice and win all sorts of rewards, so get playing with your friends!

Heads Up!

If you love playing Charades with your friends but don’t want to waste time writing out ideas or have run out of ideas to act out then Heads Up! is a really handy app you can use, thanks to Ellen DeGeneres! Not only has it got an endless number of categories to choose from, but you can also play it through FaceTime now, and store videos from your games to look back and laugh at!
