TESSCO One conference gives you an intimate, close-up look at mobile technology products and innovations.
Early this morning, a few of the writers from MacSources (myself included) set out for the great city of Nashville to attend the TESSCO One Innovation Showcase & Conference. The event is TESSCO’s marquee event and brings thousands of colleagues from the wireless industry together for networking, socializing, and experiencing the latest technology releases. To be honest, when we registered to attend, we didn’t exactly know what to expect from this conference. We knew that it wouldn’t be as large as CES, but did expect to meet people who may have had products released since early January.
When we arrived in Nashville, we were greeted by a very knowledgeable and friendly staff and found that the Grand Ballroom was still set for breakfast and light entertainment. As we sat and reviewed the program of events, we discovered that the ‘show floor’ contained approximately 125 vendors that all focus on wireless or mobile technology and accessories. While we’ve learned about some wonderful new and upcoming products from a lot of vendors, it does seem that the main audience of this conference is retailers. It’s a very well organized conference with a lot of learning sessions and vendors to visit, but it is not a miniature CES. If you are new to conferences as a tech professional or writer, this is a really nice one to attend as you get a lot of one-on-one time with vendors. CES can be so crowded that you can become lost in a sea of media personnel. Here at TESSCO One you are greeted personally and have a nice opportunity to visit at length with the sales managers and reps at the booths.
Here is a listing of some of the companies that were in attendance:
- Element Case
- Urban Armor Gear
