Syncable by Tylt is a solid, charging cable with a minimalistic design.

Yesterday, we featured an article on the Energi 2K Travel Charger by Tylt. This handy little emergency battery pack is one of those devices that makes our lives easier because we don’t have to worry about losing power on our power-hungry smartphones and tablets. As cool as the 2K is, one still needs a cable to plug a device into the battery pack. Using the iPhone as an example, most smartphones come with a charging cable that is at least 24 inches long. That can be an obscene amount of cable to carry with you when you are on the go. In fact, I have a small pouch in my purse that contains a 30-pin Apple Charging cable for my iPad 2 and a Lighting Charging cable for my iPhone 5 and iPad Mini. Even though I’ve found a solution to the cord carrying problem, it’s not the best option. Luckily, there has been an insurgence of minimal charging cable options growing within the past year. We’ve introduced a couple within our product reviews and today, I’m going to bring one more to light – Syncable by Tylt.

Syncable by Tylt is a charge and sync cable that measures only 12 inches long, about half the length of a standard charging cable. In addition to its length, Syncable also features a flat ribbon design that ensures your Syncable cable won’t get tangled up within itself when it’s not being used. As mentioned, it is a charge and sync cable, which means it can be used to sync your mobile device with your desktop or laptop computer. Syncable is available in either Micro-USB, which most Android device utilize, or a Lightning connection, which is used for Apple devices.

During our testing process, we worked with the Lightning version of Syncable. We found that it worked just as well as a standard Apple cable as far as transferring data or power to devices. We also checked to see how well Syncable stayed ‘un-tangled’. This was a big deal to us because we use so many different cables on a regular basis that having one on hand that doesn’t require untangling is a big deal. Syncable never became tangled with itself. Because of its flattened design the cable remains curved or straight and never wraps around itself.

If you are looking for a good charging cable with a minimal footprint, check out Syncable by Tylt. We can recommend this product and hope that you will give it a try. Syncable is arable in four colors – green, red, blue or black. It retails for $29.99, which is comparable to other charging/syncing cables within the marketplace.
