MagWallet Leather Card Holder
The MagWallet is a nice alternative to other MagSafe compatible wallets. It's cost-effective and thinner than some other wallet options. I like the color options that are available and how easy it is to place cards into it, but the magnet could hold it in place a lot better.

The MagWallet keeps your cards secure against your phone.
When Apple announced that MagSafe charging was going to be added to the functionality of the iPhone, I was thrilled. I love any feature that removes a cable from a device. I was already a fan of the iPhone’s wireless charging capabilities and thought that adding MagSafe would only enhance that feature.
Not only does MagSafe charging add a higher quality charging option to the iPhone, but it has also led to the development of new products that make it easier to incorporate the iPhone completely into your daily life. I have a charging mount in my car that is MagSafe compatible as well as two charging stations (one in my bedroom and one in my office) that connect to the phone via MagSafe.
One of the accessories that I’ve been interested in has been the MagSafe wallet. Apple makes one, but so do several third-party accessory companies such as SwitchEasy.
DETAILS
The MagWallet Leather Card Holder is a MagSafe compatible case that is designed specifically to work with the iPhone 12 and 13 series phones. It’s made with premium leather and includes RFID protection. The wallet is ultra-thin – thinner than the Apple MagSafe Wallet – and features a strong magnet that keeps the wallet attached to the phone.
The MagWallet holds up to two credit cards and keeps them 100% protected from the elements. In addition to a magnet, the wallet has a built-in manganese steel plate that holds the cards securely in place and helps them slide out effortlessly. The case snaps firmly onto the back of a compatible iPhone and is designed to stay securely in place.
The case has a retail price of $34.99 on SwitchEasy.com and $29.99 on Amazon.com. There are three distinct colors available – navy blue, saddle brown, and black. The wallet is compatible with the iPhone 12/ 12 Pro/ 12 Pro Max and iPhone 13/ 13 Pro/ 13 Pro Max.

USER EXPERIENCE
The MagWallet comes in a simple box with SwitchEasy branding on it. The front of the box has a picture of the product in the color you selected. There are three features called out including MagSafe Compatible, Leather Touch, and Safe Card Storage also on the front of the box. The back of the box has an image of the wallet on a variety of different phones and positions as well as some additional information about SwitchEasy. The inside of the box has a plastic insert that holds the wallet. When it arrives, the wallet is wrapped in plastic.
One of the things that makes the MagWallet more appealing than the Apple MagSafe Wallet is that it’s thinner. The SwitchEasy MagWallet is only 6.85mm thick and the Apple wallet is 7.05mm thick. This makes the SwitchEasy wallet a little easier to handle.
The Apple MagSafe Wallet has additional colors and also comes equipped with ‘Find My’ support. While these additional features are helpful, they do add to the cost of the wallet. So, if you want a more cost-effective option, the SwitchEasy MagWallet is the better choice.

Perhaps the most important feature of the MagWallet is the built-in magnet. This is, after all, what distinguishes the case from other wallets. The magnet snaps onto the phone easily and even connects to other metal surfaces. My fiancé has a 12 Pro and uses a MagSafe case with her phone. We tried the wallet with her case and it worked really well.
The wallet worked on my 13 Pro as well. The only issue is that it would shift from side-to-side quite a bit. It didn’t slide off with regular use, but if I shook the phone enough, the wallet would fall off. And, one time when I was getting out of my car, my wallet slipped right off the phone. Fortunately, both items were still in my pocket, but if that wasn’t the case, I would have lost my wallet and the cards along with it.
Speaking of cards, I found the wallet to be sufficient for carrying just a couple of cards. The description states that it can fit two credit cards. I have one credit card and two ID cards enclosed in my wallet. It’s pretty tight, but they do fit. There is a cutout on the back that provides a way to push the cards out of the case. I have found this slot very helpful as I use the wallet.
CONCLUSION
The MagWallet from SwitchEasy is a nice alternative to the Apple MagSafe Wallet. It’s not as expensive as the Apple version but it also does not include tracking technology. The wallet doesn’t seem to have as strong of a hold as the Apple wallet when you are using it without a case, but it’s more secure when used in conjunction with a MagSafe case. I think the wallet is a stylish accessory that takes advantage of MagSafe well. I do wish the magnet was a bit stronger.
