SwitchBot, a smart home brand known for its retrofit products, today launches the Blind Tilt on Kickstarter. The new Blind Tilt is a battery-powered controller that can automate existing blinds with easy installation, updating the home to be modern and smart. The product also comes with a solar panel to provide a long-lasting battery life.
Pre-orders are now available on Kickstarter for global customers for a discounted price of $69/£62 approx (up to 48% off), backers are expected to receive their products before Christmas at the earliest.
Automate Existing Blinds with Easy Installation
The SwitchBot Blind Tilt is designed to work on existing horizontal blinds with a wand (twisting rod). Different from traditional electric blinds, the Blind Tilt is easy to install in one minute at home without the need for any expert help. With no need to dismantle a single part from the existing blind, it is a simple retrofit add-on to upgrade the existing setup.
Multiple Ways to Control the Blinds
By using the SwitchBot App, it is easy to create schedules, set timers, and also utilize the Sunrise & Sunset mode. Featuring a built-in light sensor, the blind can adjust automatically, for example, when the sunlight is too strong at noon it may close or when it is cloudy it will open to allow more light into a room. Users can still control the blinds manually, and the change of status can be recorded by the device shown in the App.
Advanced Motor Adjusts Blind Slats As Close As 2°
The Blind Tilt is equipped with an advanced motor, capable of adjusting the blind slats as accurately as 2°, so that users can let the sunshine in at an angle that’s just right.
Automation in SwitchBot Ecosystem
Users can control multiple blinds using the SwitchBot Remote or use the SwitchBot NFC Tag with a smartphone to adjust. When combined with the SwitchBot Hub Mini, users have the ability to control the blinds remotely, or through third-party voice assistants.
Solar Panel Included
A Solar Panel is included with the Blind Tilt and includes an internal 2000mAh battery to provide long-lasting battery life and ultimate convenience as users should barely need to charge the device.
