Sumptus Apple Watch App Review:
A great app for efficient expense tracking.
I’m horrible at keeping track of my expenses. And, it seems that no matter how hard I try, I just haven’t found a method that works well for me. There are countless apps available for checkbook tracking and expenses, but they still require me to pull out my phone, open the app and input the information for the financial record I’m trying to save. Fortunately for me, Sumptus has developed a version of their expense tracking app for the Apple Watch. I do believe this might be the answer for my financial organization woes.
Sumptus is a personal expense tracker designed for people like me, who are either too busy or have too short of an attention span to enter expenses. With it, you can quickly add expenses and easily manage your budget. When I originally reviewed Sumptus for the iPhone, I was impressed with its simplicity and thought that I would get over my hump of not tracking my finances. Unfortunately, it, too, fell by the wayside as time went by. Luckily for me, Sumptus modified their app so that it works on the Apple Watch. What could be more convenient than a device that you wear on your wrist?
- Natural language input
- Budget balance at a glance
You can also edit and delete expense notes right from the Apple Watch making the app even more efficient.
Sumptus also boasts the fact that it’s the first money saving app that’s been released for the Apple Watch.
So, you might be thinking the same thing I did when I first heard about this version of the app – does it really work that well? I’m here to tell you that it does. When my Apple Watch arrived, Sumptus was one of the first apps I tried out. I feel like the developers at Wesix did a great job of integrating the functionality of the Apple Watch with the features of Sumptus. The dictation function, which incorporates the natural language input works beautifully. To use it, you simply tap the microphone icon and state your expense, and amount. Sumptus does the rest. For example, I say, “Coffee five dollars,” and it translates that into an expense item. I did find that I had to manually select the category for the budget item.
Sumptus for Apple Watch is a great app to not only demonstrate the features of the the device, but also to help keep your budget in line. Sumptus is averrable for $3.99 for iOS. There is no additional charge for the Apple Watch version.
