Step counter & activity tracker receives an update that brings workouts and trends among other features.
Last year, we published a review on StepsApp, a simple step counter and activity tracker for iPhone and Apple Watch. Today, StepsApp received an update with some pretty cool new features.
- Workouts with GPS tracking
- Trends
- Active calories tracking is now FREE
- Set daily goals for active calories, distance, and time
- Fresh, new look
- Change app icon color
- Weekly report
- Improved “active time” on Apple Watch
- Setup between unit “active time” or “calories” on Apple Watch Complications
- Improved export activity data
StepsApp is a very clean app with easy-to-read statistics. I really like it because it gives you an instant read of how much steps you’ve taken. Even though your iPhone does keep track of this data through the Health app, StepsApp is a much more efficient option for just looking at your step count activity. I like the integration between the phone and watch operating systems, but I do wish the developer had taken a different route when it comes to the Free vs. Pro options. StepsApp is free to download, but has a Pro version available for $2.99. This version is what really lets you take advantage of all the cool features. I still really like how nice the app looks and how easy it is to use. I can recommend this to anyone looking to keep a closer watch their activities and progress.
