Presidio Grip case adds form and function without the extra bulk.
I can never make my mind up on iPhone cases. I go through phases of wanting big and bulky cases for protection against everything, then during summer months, I tend to want a waterproof case because of sweat or water in general. Other times I just want to show off the beauty of my iPhone, the flawless design so I go with something extremely minimal. Here recently I’ve been trying to get away from all of those and just go for an all-around protection that doesn’t make the phone too big and bulky and let’s face it. It’s a smartphone. I know I’m going to be around water so I’ll just be a little bit more careful and can do without waterproof protection.
I still want a case that looks good and provides me general drop protection for the phone and something to protect the mesmerizing screen. I also don’t want to lose functionality of the buttons, charging port, headphone jack, speaker, or any of the other features. After some deliberation, I decided to give Speck’s Presidio Grip iPhone Case a chance. While I haven’t ever used a case from Speck before, I’m not blind, I see a lot of phones protected by them. After some deliberation, I decided to give Speck’s Presidio Grip iPhone Case a chance. While I haven’t ever used a case from Speck before, I’m not blind, I see a lot of phones protected by them. All of those people can’t be wrong, can they? The short answer is… they aren’t. From the installation of my iPhone in the Presidio Grip I knew this was going to be a great case.
The feel of the case is solid. It slightly flexible where it needs to be. Sliding the case in was a breeze. I only had to give the phone a slight nudge to snap it in place. The impact shock barrier on the inside gives your phone a little wiggle room while still protecting it by absorbing and dispersing the shock from the falls and spills that it will inevitably take. The bezel protection provided by a small lip on the front gives your protection on the screen without losing the sensitivity or access to the screen.
One of my biggest complaints about phone cases is the limited access the buttons. The Presidio Grip provides protection as well as easy access to buttons and ringer switch. so I didn’t have to worry about accidentally switching to silent mode when sliding the phone into my pocket. My favorite feature is the no slip grip. It allows the phone to grip your hand or most other surfaces without sliding around. It also grips even when your hands might be a little moist, where most other cases it’ll slide right out.
I got everything that I was looking for in a case with the Speck Presidio Grip. It’s form and function are excellent and Speck designed the case to have that while adding hardly any width to the phone overall. This will be my everyday case until Speck rolls out with something even better. The Presidio Grip case is compatible with the iPhone 7/7 Plus and the iPhone 6/6s/6 Plus/6s Plus. It’s available in several different colors including black, white, gray, blue, purple, and pink.
