BUY FROM AMAZON

An impressive camera bag at an affordable price.

When you are looking to protect your camera gear you want only the best. But sometimes the best cost more than you can afford. So, why not look a classy, well-made camera backpack that is an average price instead of a premium one. I like to try and take advantage of bargains when I can and love it when I can find good deals on great products. The Camera Backpack from SoarOwl is one of those instances.

SoarOwl Camera Backpack REVIEW

DETAILS

This backpack is a standard bag for camera storage and transport. It’s designed to hold 1-2 DSLR camera bodies (without a lens attached), 4-6 lenses, a flash, batteries, and other accessories. The bag will even hold a laptop up to 14 inches in size. It’s considered a ‘carry-all’ backpack that’s a great companion for photographers. The backpack is made out of heavy-duty, weather-resistant 1000Dx1000D nylon material. The bag has a skid-proof bottom and features dual-density foam with internal open-cell foam for camera protection and external closed-cell foam from impact protection. The straps are adjustable and so is the waist harness. The inside of the bag has Velcro-fastened dividers that are padded with thick foam to protect your camera and its accessories. As an added bonus, a TSA-approved lock is installed for easy use while you travel.

USER EXPERIENCE

Given my experiences with other camera bags, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this Camera Backpack from SoarOwl. The bag actually made a very good first impression. It’s black with red accents. The zippers open and close easily and the pockets are well-organized. The main compartment that stores the camera is accessed from the back. I wasn’t a big fan of this design feature because you have to fold back the straps on the backpack in order to get to the compartment. There is a side opening that gives you the ability to grab camera pieces quickly, but getting to the entire compartment is a little complicated. That said, I really like the layout of the internal camera storage compartment because it’s easy to configure and the Velcro dividers can be pulled out and replaced easily.

SoarOwl Camera Backpack REVIEW

As you can see from my configuration above, I was able to fit a camera with lens attached, three additional lenses, a dual battery pack and various accessories in the bag and there is still space left over. I’ve used other backpacks that have more premium dividers but I really like the padding the SoarOwl dividers provides. They are thick and very sturdy. Aside from the camera compartment I really like that the laptop sleeve is padded and located on the interior side of the pouch. I’ve seen a lot of camera backpacks that provide a space for a laptop or tablet but they are not well-protected. SoarOwl did a nice job with the design of this bag. I also really like that a standard USB port is available on the outside of the bag for easy charging when you’re on the go.

SoarOwl Camera Backpack REVIEW

CONCLUSION

The SoarOwl camera backpack is a very capable camera bag. I really love the design of it and it wears well. It’s comfortable and easy to use. It’s great that you can fit so much into the bag, too. This camera backpack is a very affordable, impressive option for carrying camera equipment.

I’m not familiar with this one but I’m already liking it. But there has to be some cons somehow, I mean everything has. There is no such thing as the “perfect camera bag”. It’ll always depend on your style and needs. Speaking of which, I’ve seen some great and stylish camera bags from Langly
    Great article, nonetheless. Thanks.
