The Segway Ninebot E2 Pro is a sleek and efficient electric scooter more suited for urban commuters or college students who prioritize portability, ease of use, and a decent range. Ninebot has an array of scooters to fit many needs and personalities, let us see if this Ninebot E2 Pro is what you’re looking for, either for yourself or maybe a great gift for your loved ones!

Let’s start with the unboxing of this Ninebot E2 scooter!

The first thing you will notice is that even from the outside of the box, everything was thoughtfully and tastefully put together, from color photos of the scooter and an extensive and easy-to-read list of what this scooter has to offer you.

As soon as you get this box open you will be greeted by 2 large pieces of thick Styrofoam that are keeping your scooter locked in and safe. You will notice that they have pockets inside the Styrofoam that will have your charger in one and the manual and an Allen wrench for assembly in the other. Once you pull those out and set them aside, you will now have eyes on your new scooter, wrapped in plastic and ready for you to assemble. I personally put mine together in the box as I thought it would be easier as the foam around the tires keeping it upright would make it easier.

When I say the process of putting this scooter together was easy, I mean it, it was as painless and easy for anyone with any skill set. All that needs to be done is to place the stem on the threaded shaft attached to the base of the scooter. On the neck of the scooter, there are two bolts
that need to be tightened and that’s it! Once you have done that you can pull your scooter
out of the box place the kickstand down and you’re ready to start with taking all the plastic
and warning labels off. (please do read them!)

Now that you have your scooter all put together, always make sure to charge to 100% before finishing set up. Once mine was charged up, I downloaded the app and completed the setup. please note that I did have a couple of software updates that needed to be done before using it, please make sure to have your scooter updated before use.

Unlike some scooters in this same classification, you will find that the battery isn’t on the stem and is actually under the deck, giving you a stronger and more stable ride by placing the battery below the deck, the downside is you may lose the ease of just changing out the battery on the go but you gain strength in the shaft by not having a cut stem but an aluminum frame with no weakness plus you gain the added stability you get from having the battery centralized under you. It is still foldable and relatively lightweight (41.4 lbs.), making it convenient to carry and store, especially in tight urban spaces.

Time for some Performance and Range.

The E2 Pro is equipped with a 750W rear-wheel drive motor, delivering a top speed of 15.5 mph. While this speed is not groundbreaking, it is sufficient for most city commutes. The scooter’s range of 16.8 miles on a single charge at maximum speed is solid, especially for those with moderate daily travel needs. This range is enhanced by Segway’s Ridey LONG technology, which aims to extend the distance you can cover without the need for additional batteries.

Comfort and Stability.

One of the E2 Pro’s highlights is its 10-inch air-leakage-proof tubeless tires. These tires are designed to be puncture-resistant and provide a smooth ride over different types of terrain, reducing the worry of flats. Combined with the scooter’s Traction Control System (TCS), the E2 Pro offers stability and comfort even on less-than-perfect roads. The ability to climb slopes up to 18% with ease adds to its versatility, making it a reliable companion in hilly areas. Although you do get the 10” tires, you don’t have suspension. That being said for your everyday sidewalks you will have a rather smooth and comfortable ride, but do be aware that more aggressive roads or off-road will be not as smooth.
