Cool battery case provides versatile charging options.
One of my favorite gadgets is the battery case. If you’ve read any of my reviews on them before, you will know that a big part of why I like them is because they serve a purpose. They are much more than just protection for your phone; they give you much needed power. I recently had the opportunity to test out a very unique battery case from ZeroLemon – the Slim Power Battery Case for Samsung Galaxy 6.
This reason this case is so unique is because it’s the world’s first battery case with a removable battery for external use. The case comes in two parts – the outer shell and the battery. The battery is a 3500 mAh battery, which I have found is pretty standard for mobile phone battery cases. The outer shell is a TPU case that helps to shield your phone from damage caused by drops or just daily use. There are four LED lights on the battery that indicate the charge level. You can see these lights with or without the outer shell.
So, how does it work? I have to admit, I asked myself the same thing when I first opened the package. Basically, the case comes with a U-connector to connect the phone and the battery together. Once you have those two piggy-backing one another, you wrap the outer shell around them. The battery doesn’t charge unless you turn it on so it’s not constantly wasting energy.
The really cool thing about this is that you don’t have to carry a spare battery with you. I actually carry a battery pack in my purse for any mobile device I have that needs a charge. So, at any given time, I may be carrying my mobile phone, its battery case and at least one extra battery pack. It’s great to have a backup plan, but I agree that it’s a bit excessive. This case from ZeroLemon makes it possible to just carry the battery case since you can, at any given time, plug another device into it if you simply slip the battery out of its case.
