Flappy Bird Creator Announces New Game
Dong Nguyen, creator of the popular Flappy Bird, has released a screenshot along with the announcement, “I am making a new game,” on Twitter. Nguyen decided to pull Flappy Bird down in February due to the fame associated with the game. At the height of its popularity, Flappy Bird was earning its creator $50,000 a day. This new game will reportedly be ‘less addictive’ than Flappy Bird.
Google Hires Art.com Chief Marketing Officer
Ivy Ross, former Chief Marketing Officer of Art.com, has joined the Google team as the head of the smart eyewear team. Ross holds a degree from Harvard and has a retail-based professional background. Ross will use her background to enhance the image of Google Glass. The goal is to have them accepted as regular eyewear.
Google Release Outlook Extension
Google has released an extension for users of Microsoft Outlook that will allow them to use Google Hangouts without leaving Outlook. The Hangouts extension doesn’t support chat, but will allow users to schedule video meetings.
Microsoft to Launch Surface Mini
Microsoft is following the method of Apple by releasing a ‘mini’ version of their Surface tablet. The Surface-mini is slated to be released in May and now there is some speculation about whether or not a smartphone will be released with it.
