OK Google Gains New Functionality
Android personal voice assistant service ‘OK Google’ gains some new functionality with the aid of third-party apps. Users can now say commands like, “OK Google, Shazam this song,” and Shazam will now open and attempt to identify the song. The third-party app operation with OK Google is not new, but now users can ask for more specific actions like playing a specific song or asking Google Maps to navigate to a specific place.
Sprint Provides Free WiFi Hotspot Access to Subscribers
Sprint has entered into a multi-year agreement with Boingo Wireless to provide customers with access to Boingo’s WiFi networks in airports across the US. This will be very beneficial to those who are frequent flyers and spend their commute in airports conducting business or needing to use the internet for other reasons. There are some airports in the US that provide free WiFi for travelers, but most of them have hotspot access through providers like Boingo. The airports included in this transaction include Dallas Love Field, Boston Logan, Chicago O’Hare, Charlotte Douglas International and New York City’s John F. Kennedy Airport.
Apple Stock a Good Buy
Apple opened at an all-time high $134/share on Tuesday morning following the report of the company’s second quarter earnings call. Unfortunately, but the end of business on THursday, the stock had fallen nearly 10 points to $125/share. Even with this drop, analysts believe the technology company is still a good investment. As long as Apple continues to grow is earnings, Apple stock will keep moving upward – eventually. With that in mind, Apple’s profit outlook seems very solid.
