Realtor.com app makes searching for a house headache-free.

One of my many hobbies is searching for real estate.  Naturally, I was excited to find that realtor.com had created its own iPhone App. Realtor.com Real Estate Search (RRES) is currently on version 2.0.0.1434. Similar to the website, RRES starts up with a search screen. Users can search by starting a new search, finding nearby homes for sale, open houses or homes for rent. The app uses the iPhone’s GPS to locate the user and then find homes nearby.

This app is easy to use and has the rather nifty function of “area highlighter,” which gives the user the option to circle an area on the map to see homes for sale within that area. RRES also has an “area scout,” which continually updates according to the user’s location.

Once the user inputs a search, the results are displayed and users can scroll through results.  The app also makes it easy to view property photos, contact the realtor, share the property details with friends and family and send the info page by email.

As I previously mentioned, I am a house hunter at heart and enjoy looking at a variety of properties. RRES is user friendly and makes it easy for house hunters, like me, to find properties. I stumbled upon RRES some time ago and enjoy keeping it on my phone for down times when I just want to see what is out there. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a new home or for house enthusiasts like myself.

Realtor.com also provides apps for iPad, Android and Windows Phone 7.  They can be found on Realtor.com
