Have you ever needed to mount something heavy from a glass door or on marble, PVC, wood or any other types of surfaces without damaging it? I have and that’s why I had to try out the Sabrent Power Lock Suction Hook. It’s given me a great option to hang heavier objects with (up to 10 lbs.).

The Power Lock Suction Hook works on non-porous surfaces by pushing firmly and then twisting it to lock into place. Last year, I needed to hang a few Christmas wreaths, but was forced to use some nasty sticky adhesive style hooks that ended up not even holding the whole time.

What makes the Power Lock Suction Hook so much nicer than the adhesive style is that there is no need to clean off any gunk left behind because there is none. Also, if the suction cup was to come off, reapplying it is as easy as cleaning the suction cup and twisting it back into place. Last year, this would have been a life saver for me and after the holidays, I would have enjoyed not having to clean off gunk from the adhesive one I used.

To use it

  • Wipe clean and dry the surface before use.
  • Place the hook vertically against a flat smooth surface with the protruding hook arm 90 degrees to the right (3 O’clock).
  • Then, twist clock-wise so the protruding hook arm is now in the South position (6 O’clock).
  • At this point, it should adhere to the surface securely.

I’ve been using the Power Lock Suction Hook from Sabrent for about two weeks to hold up everything from my Christmas wreath to my hoodie and hat. Now, I have it mounted on the side of my hutch holding a bunch of different cables and accessories. I never thought I’d be writing a review about a suction hook, but because I find it so useful I think others will as well. The Sabrent Power Lock Suction Hook has an MSRP of $9.99 and I recommend it to anyone who wants to hold things up.
