Plugable’s first Apple-specific accessory allows MacBook users to get the most out of their laptops without connecting to a full-size docking station
Plugable, a leading computer accessories company for office, home, and hybrid workspaces, has launched a dynamic USB-C hub specifically designed to expand the port selections on supported MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models. The AMS-5IN1E fits flush against the host Mac and adds 5 ports to supported systems, while still providing access to the MagSafe charging port. The hub includes a full-featured USB-C port that is capable of anything the MacBook port can do such as connecting a 6K 60Hz display, transferring data up to 40Gbps, and pass-through charging up to 100W.
The USB-C 5-in-1 Hub is available now on Amazon for $32.95 with a $2 off coupon. For business purchases see all Channel buying options here.
Make the Most of Your Mac
A thinner, lighter Mac no longer comes at the expense of ports with the AMS-5IN1E. Designed exclusively for the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air, the AMS-5IN1E is an ideal accessory for taking advantage of the full power offered by the laptop. Adding a wired Gigabit Ethernet port, combination audio jack, two USB 3.0 ports, and a fully functional USB-C (40Gbps) port, this purpose-built hub packs all of the essentials to create an efficient workstation.
Uncommon in similar hubs, the full-featured USB-C port on the AMS-5IN1E accomplishes everything the native MacBook port can do. That includes connecting an external display up to 6K 60Hz, transferring data up to 40Gbps, and pass-through charging to the Mac at up to 100W or charging downstream devices such as phones or tablets up to 15W. The USB-C port enables users to connect any USB-C, Thunderbolt, or USB4 device to their MacBook.
Thoughtful Design
This 5-in-1 USB-C hub is designed to connect to any MacBook that has two USB-C or Thunderbolt ports next to each other. It is ideal for 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros, introduced in 2021, or MacBook Airs, introduced in 2022. The hub was crafted deliberately to complement Apple’s MagSafe power connector; it features a cutout to avoid impeding the functionality or connection of the MagSafe charger.
Committed to creating a hub specifically for the MacBook, the AMS-5IN1E has been rigorously tested in a variety of environments, scenarios, and workloads to complement the laptop in both form and function.
