Create a custom keyboard theme from a picture.
Something that has become very popular recently is the customization of keyboards on iPhones. It adds a sense of individuality for the user. Most of the keyboard customization tools I’ve seen just allow you to add predetermined colorization for the keyboard. A brand new app call Photokeys does it just a little bit differently.
Photokeys is an app for both iPhone and iPad that allows you to customize your keyboard based off of the colors from a photograph. The app uses an algorithm that matches colors in a photograph within a few seconds of selecting the photo. It displays the primary color groups from the picture you load and then you can adjust it easily by using slider buttons to change the hues of the colors. Photokeys creates colorful themes that you can use in any app on your phone.
Some of the top features of Photokeys include:
- Using photo colors to adjust buttons, background and text
- Unlimited number of color combinations, each keyboard is truly unique
- TOP 100 Emoji Emoticons are accessible right from the keyboard
- Quick color settings: tap to pick your color mood before taking a picture
- Take a shot or import a photo from your library
- Auto-correction and predictive input
Photokeys brings a very unique way to customize keyboards to the hands of the user. It’s very easy to use and I really love the idea that you can capture colors directly from a photograph. Say you’ve painted a room in your house with your favorite colors and you want to carry those colors with you. Simply snap a picture with your phone, open it in Photokeys, and adjust the colors for the theme. It’s a very easy process and within a few seconds you will have a colorful new keyboard for any app.
Photokeys is now available to download in the app store for $0.99.
