Are you a growing family or a small business that is constantly dealing with the need for a stronger and better Wi-Fi connection for all the devices that your home or office may be using, or maybe just looking for a device that brings everything together and makes being connected to the internet powerful and easy while still having control. Then I would highly suggest you stick around to learn more about this state-of-the-art Wi-Fi router made by Netgear, the Orbi Pro mesh Wi-Fi 6 router.
For myself this need for a bigger and better Wi-Fi router came from my kids ha-ha no not really, I can’t put all the blame on them, but having a home that has a large selection of smart devices that are always connected and then all the smart TVs and tablets that are always streaming videos or music. It got to the point where my old router just couldn’t keep up with the day-to-day devices and if you’re a parent you know how the children and your spouses can get when their devices are having trouble loading or not buffering their show and let’s be honest nobody wants to deal with that!
The device I had chosen out of their vast selection was the Orbi Pro mesh Wi-Fi 6 AX5400 with one satellite.

User Experience
From the second I opened the box I knew I was going to be very pleased with setting this device up, the packaging was very clean and easy to open. The first layer of cardboard was there to protect the routers and when peeled away the routers came out very easily not leaving behind a Styrofoam mess to clean up.
You will find that under the Wi-Fi router and satellite is a tightly packed box with two charging cables, an ethernet cat5 cable, and instructions. After getting everything unwrapped and placed aside the amount of plastic and waste left was very minimal, a small step net gear is helping be more eco-friendly, and who doesn’t love that?
I can tell you that I have never found instructions to be more precise and helpful. They have everything worded very simply so that even the most non-tech-savvy individual can install this device with little to no issues. After going through the steps, I decided it was time to start the setup.
I made the mistake of disconnecting my old Wi-Fi router before installing the app and I live in a rural area so the download took much longer than it should have, that being said, make sure to download the app provided in the instructions before disconnecting your internet. After I got the app downloaded the process was as easy as you could imagine, just plug the router and the satellite in and let the app do the rest, it will ask a few questions about how you want to customize the SSID (network name) and the password.

Now let’s get into some of the many reasons you will find yourself happy you chose this iteration of mesh Wi-Fi 6 routers. You will find that this router is Equipped with the latest and fastest Wi-Fi 6 technology, Orbi Pro Wi-Fi 6 AX5400 is a triband mesh router and satellite-capable system, built to provide your business or your home office with next-level coverage, speed, and connection capacity for the ultimate business-grade Wi-Fi experience, today and tomorrow at an affordable cost for budget-conscious businesses.
Ideal for home offices or small businesses such as bed-and-breakfasts, professional services, and small education centers, Orbi Pro Wi-Fi 6 AX5400 offers better performance, easy management supports a larger number of devices, and provides business-grade security standards. Each Orbi Pro Wi-Fi 6 AX5400 add-on satellite is equipped with tri-band radios, each capable of connecting to next-generation Wi-Fi 6 devices, and delivers 5,400Mbps of total data throughput and next-level coverage.
Orbi Pro Wi-Fi 6 AX5400 is fully compatible with legacy Wi-Fi 5 devices. Each can connect to 4 times more devices as compared to a similar Wi-Fi product in previous generations. And with the ability of up to 4 satellites that gives you anywhere from 2500 square feet with just the router and up to 12,000 square feet with 4 connected satellites. Plus, with Having the Business Pro, you have the option to set up 4 different SSIDs with the ability to set up 2.4GHz with a separate name and password from the 5GHz.

That also opens the possibility of setting up a guest’s SSID with no password for customers or guests and that keeps them from taking up the bandwidth on your main and or other clients’ SSIDs. I am very pleased with the App as I can seamlessly filter who is on the network based on their devices and be able to shut off each one individually if you’d like. I personally have found it to be very handy with things like kids’ tablets or smart devices that you would like to be able to remotely monitor.
As a conclusion of using this Wi-Fi router I can confidently say for the money and useability this must be one of the better options you will find when considering a new Wi-Fi system for your growing business or family.
