The OneOdio Fusion A70 GEN 2 continues the brand’s focus on affordable, feature-rich headphones aimed at everyday users, who want premium performance without spending hundreds of dollars. OneOdio has built a reputation for packing surprising capability into budget friendly packages, and the GEN 2 is a clear refinement of the popular original A70. Let’s take a look and see if you end up adding them to your shopping cart. 

Unboxing and Setup.

In the box you’ll find the headphones, a 3m coiled 3.5mm-to-6.35mm cable, USB-C charging cable, soft pouch, and standard documentation. Setup is straightforward. Pairing over Bluetooth is fast and reliable for me when paired with both my iPad and my iPhone. The OneOdio app has EQ adjustments, presets, and basic settings without requiring constant fumbling. Switching to wired mode is as simple as plugging in either cable, the headphones will continue working even with a dead battery.

Design.

The Fusion A70 GEN 2 keeps the practical, no-nonsense design of the original while feeling a bit more refined. The lightweight plastic frame is still clearly budget-oriented, but the finish is a lot nicer and the overall build feels more solid. Soft memory foam ear cushions and a padded headband make them comfortable for longer sessions, and the earcups swivel 90 degrees for single-ear monitoring. They fold flat and come with a soft carry pouch, making them easy to pack away. Physical buttons on the right earcup are responsive and easy to navigate with a textured design on the power button making it easy to find, and the move to USB-C is a welcome upgrade over the previous micro-USB port. I hope they come out with more colors but currently all they offer is black. 

Features.

Key upgrades over the first-generation Fusion A70 include Bluetooth 6.0 (up from 5.2), LDAC codec support alongside AAC and SBC, Hi-Res Audio certification, a switch to USB-C charging, and full companion app support with customizable EQ. The 40mm dynamic drivers retain a 32-ohm impedance and 20Hz–40kHz frequency response, with sensitivity listed at 112dB ± 3dB. 

The 650mAh battery is rated for up to 72 hours of wireless playtime. I can’t say I’ve personally tracked the exact number of hours, but with my daily use, I feel like I can easily go about a week between charges. Battery life has definitely not been something I’ve had to worry about with these, which is always a big plus for me.

The dual-jack layout remains a standout, a 3.5mm port on one earcup and a full-size 6.35mm jack on the other, plus the SharePort feature that lets you daisy-chain a second pair of wired headphones so two people can listen simultaneously. 

Earcups swivel 90° for single-ear monitoring. I personally do this a lot when I’m gaming, that way I can hear the family and be able to hear at night when I’m up late. The whole unit folds flat, and a soft carry pouch is included. Physical controls on the right earcup handle power, play/pause, track skipping, and volume. A built-in microphone with noise reduction supports calls. 

Personal experience. 

I had the pleasure of using the Fusion A70 GEN 2 not just for work sessions, but also some music listening, casual gaming, and video watching. Comfort is solid for multi-hour wear. For me I have a few things that matter most, and number one is probably comfort, and that’s usually something you don’t mind sacrificing when buying budget headphones. Thankfully the memory-foam ear cushions and padded headband apply less clamp force than the original, and the cups seal reasonably well without becoming overly warm quickly. The foldable design and included pouch make them easy to toss in a bag without scratching up the glossy plastic pieces.

Sound quality is the next biggest improvement. The GEN 2 keeps things punchy, enjoyable on the low end while opening up the midrange and delivering cleaner highs and better instrument separation. With the LDAC it should make for a noticeable difference with high-resolution sources, with acoustic details, cymbals, and vocals gaining more clarity and air. The default tuning still favors fun over strictly neutral studio flatness, but the app’s graphic EQ lets you dial it back or shape it for different genres. Bass lovers will still be happy and those who prefer to hear the clarity in a voice.

Wireless performance was excellent in my experience with Bluetooth 6.0. Connections to both my iPad and iPhone were stable, with solid range and no noticeable dropouts during everyday use. I think I was able to go from one side of my house and clear to the other side before I noticed any transmission issues, and that’s between many walls and my phone being outside of the house too. I was also able to use the dual-device pairing feature to keep both devices connected and just simply switch between them when needed, which was convenient when going back and forth between my phone and tablet. For everyday music, videos, and casual gaming, the connection remained reliable with low enough latency that I never found myself bothered by noticeable delays.

The passive isolation is good enough for an office workspace or some home use, and for that I’d be happy with it. Unfortunately, that’s about where it ends, my work sites are much too loud to go without true noise cancellation. The plastic construction feels more refined than the first generation yet still leans toward the budget-friendly side. That being said, nothing feels fragile or cheap, but it doesn’t quite have the dense, premium heft of some higher-end headphones. I actually think I’m going to give these as a gift to my father-in-law. He likes to play guitar and has always been restricted in how long he can play because of the noise. Haha, yeah, you can just play without the amp, but who wants to do that? He wants to be able to hear the sound of the music and what he’s playing, and with these, he’ll be able to do just that.
