The renowned Toronto-based photographer and filmmaker has once again collaborated with the brand on a smaller, sleeker-sized series of everyday gear essentials.
NOMATIC, known for continuing to innovate products to create the most functional gear, is adding three new products to its signature camera bag series with photography influencer, Peter McKinnon. The brand is launching this new collection on Kickstarter on April 13.
The latest McKinnon offerings are a smaller, sleeker, everyday line of bags – the 25L Camera Backpack, 8L Camera Sling, and Camera Tech Organizer – bringing even more versatility to outdoor enthusiasts wherever they need to go to capture that perfect shot.
“The customization of this camera bag will blow your mind,” said Jon Richards, Co-Founder of NOMATIC. “It’s fun working with Peter because photographers immediately trust us. Peter doesn’t put his name on something unless it is top-notch.”
“My favorite part about the backpack is I can use it to carry my camera gear, or I just remove the cube and it becomes my everyday office bag,” said McKinnon. “I didn’t think we could top our last design, but I have to say, these bags are on another level.”

First Impressions
We’ve been fortunate enough to be able to work with prototypes of the Everyday bags for a few days prior to this launch and we think they are amazing. The material is tough but elegant and the organization aspect of these bags is phenomenal. I’ve been able to use the backpack for a couple of photoshoots and a short day trip. I’ve been able to take only what I’ve really needed and all my gear is protected and accessible. The sling was an unexpected surprise to me. I’ve never been much of a sling person but found that for quick run-and-gun shoots, it’s perfect. The feature that sold me was the quick-access shock cord closure because closing a sling one-handed has always been a pain point for me and honestly, it was probably the biggest reason I have never invested in using a sling for quick shoots. Now, it’s the first thing I grab when I get the bug to go shoot something quickly. These bags are amazing in every way and I can’t say enough good things about them.
