I’ve been a huge fan of NOMAD since day one. The product they started with was the awesome ChargeCard (now discontinued). It was and still is one of my favorite little gadgets. I keep it in my wallet so that it’s ready to charge my phone at a moment’s notice. After they developed the ChargeCard, NOMAD got busy thinking of what would be next when it came to different useful charging accessories. This brings us to the NomadClip.

NomadClip looks like a wide carabiner, but is really an Apple MFi certified lightning cable. It weights in at 53g and is now permanently hooked to my house keys. That way I have a Lightning Cable with me wherever I go. Not only can it be used a keychain, but it can also be used as a bag clip or a hand-free carrying system. NomadClip truly meets the NOMAD philosophy of ‘less is more.’ It has multiple uses in a small package. That’s one of the reasons I love it so much.

NOMAD dubs the NomadClip as “the most rugged USB cable you’ll ever meet,” and they are right. Even though it’s made as a carabiner and very tough, it’s not meant for climbing. It’s made from engineering-grade polycarbonate from Bayer and high grade steel for added durability. The metal on the charging ends is also scratch-resistant. And, because the charging ends fold into the carabiner, you don’t have to worry about losing any caps.

NomadClip is not only available as a Apple Lightning Cable, but also as a Micro-USB cable. That way, there is always a NomadClip for all your charging needs. Either version contains a high-speed, charging cable that is 2.5amp ready. I have been very happy with its performance and how quickly it charges my iPhone 6 Plus.

I love how NOMAD makes their cables to be minimalistic and easy to carry. Plus, the charging cables are made in such a way that you won’t forget them. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been on the go and needed to charge my devices, but didn’t have a cable. With NomadClip, I never have to worry about that again.

NomadClip is available for $39.95 and can be purchased today. For more information, visit hellonomad.com/products/nomadclip.
