An intense look at the co-founder of Apple.

There has long been a fascination with Steve Jobs, the c0-founder of Apple, Inc. He was known for being intense, fiercely passionate about his company and its work, and spirited with his employees. There has been more than one motion picture made about his life and work and today, the first full trailer of Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine was released to the public. This documentary has been causing waves since SXSW earlier this year.

This film is said to depict Jobs as mean-spirited, ruthless, and heartless. Many Apple employees, including Eddy Cue, have spoken out about its release and dishonest view of the former Apple CEO. Cue, Senior Vice President of Internet Software and Services for Apple, is quoted as saying, “Very disappointed in SJ:Man in the Machine. An inaccurate and mean-spirited view of my friend. It’s not a reflection of the Steve I knew.” He posted that via his Twitter account after the initial release of the film at SXSW.

Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine is being released by Magnolia Pictures and CNN Films. The effort has been spearheaded by director Alex Gibney and executive producer Gaby Darbyshire, former CEO of Gawker Media.

The film is set to release in September this year.
