Netflix brings 1080P content to the iPhone 6 Plus.
I was a fairly early adopter of Netflix and have been a loyal subscriber ever since. For quite some time, I was actually cable-free and only watched shows through Netflix or network television. Now, my Netflix viewing is usually limited to what I watch via my iPhone when I get ready for work in the morning. One of the things that I was most excited about with the iPhone 6 was of course, the bigger screen. The screen size wasn’t all that exciting to me except for watching content from Netflix and other video sources. Today, Netflix released an update that included optimization for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. Probably the bigger headline is that Netflix has brought 1080P video content to the iPhone 6 Plus. Netflix version 7.0 also comes equipped with Chromecast improvements and additional iOS 8 support.
I’m very excited about this update and am looking forward to enjoying more Netflix by using my iPhone 6. It’s also refreshing to see that an app like Netflix is taking full advantage of the enormous screen size of the iPhone 6 Plus.
Netflix is available through the App Store for free. In order to enjoy streaming services from Netflix, you must have a subscription, but Netflix offers a free month for new members. For more information, visit netflix.com.
