Trusted more than any other battery company around
I’ve been using Mophie products ever since I found out about them. I know that my first battery case was a Mophie and I’ve pretty sure that the first portable battery I owned was also a Mophie. Throughout my technical life, I’ve used a lot of different batteries and chargers from many different companies and I find Mophie’s products to be the most trustworthy. They always work and they never damage my devices. So, when it came to finding a wireless charger for my brand new iPhone Xs Max, I turned to Mophie for the answer and they provided the Charge Stream Pad+ for my power needs.
The Charge Stream Pad+ is a small-form wireless charging pad that delivers up to 10W of power for Qi-enabled smartphones. The charger is optimized for Apple and Samsung Fast Charge so you’ll always get the fastest charge possible. It has a rubberized pad to hold your phone securely. The charger does include a wall charger (QC 2.0) and cable (1.5m in length) so that you can start charging out of the box. The charging pad can charge phones while they are in cases up to 3mm thick. The Charge Stream Pad+ includes fail-safe circuitry to prevent over-charging of devices and controls temperature to prevent overheating.
The Charge Stream Pad+ is a small, coaster-sized wireless charging pad. Its design is not so different from other wireless charging pads, but it does seem to have a smaller footprint than others I’ve seen. This compact design makes me happy because it packs a powerful punch without consuming a lot of space. I have this wireless charger set up on a small side table in our living room. It’s perfect for charging my phone while we are watching TV or enjoying family time together.
I’ve never noticed my phone or the charging pad to gain a lot of heat from the power exchange. I love that there is a non-slip grip on the charger because I don’t keep my phone in a case. That can be problematic with other chargers, but not the Charge Stream Pad+. The non-slip grip makes it possible for me to place the phone on the pad and not worry about it being knocked off if someone gently bumps into the table it’s resting on.
As far as charging operation goes, the Charge Stream Pad+ provides up to 10W of power to devices. While I was unable to test that connection, I was able to collect information on how quickly the iPhone Xs Max charged. After 86 minutes, the phone gained 52% battery power. This is an equivalent of 0.61% per minute. In comparison to three other wireless chargers, the Mophie performs stronger as a charger. I took a look at testing results I had for three other wireless chargers and they only charged at a rate of 0.5-0.57% per minute.
I’ve been a super fan of other chargers and batteries, but Mophie will always be my first choice for power needs. They provide a consistent product that will always give you a safe charge for your devices. The Charge Stream Pad+ is no exception. It’s a powerful charger in a small package. It comes in two colors – black and white – and it retails for $59.95. While there are less expensive chargers in the market, I don’t think any of them can work as well as the Mophie Charge Stream Pad+.
