Surprisingly great AirPods Pro Leather Case
One of my favorite devices – you know, one of the ones you never leave home without – is my AirPods Pro. I find them an invaluable part of my life whether I use them to listen to music while shopping or pop them in to take a phone call, my AirPods Pro is always by my side along with my iPhone.
Generally, I avoid accessories for my AirPods. My kids and husband have adorable silicone cases in a variety of colors for their AirPods, but I prefer to keep mine naked. I’ve just never felt like they needed a case. Recently, I tried out Lopie’s Handmade AirPods Pro Leather Case and was pleasantly surprised.
Who is Lopie?
This was naturally the first thought that popped into my head. “Who is Lopie?” I acquired this accessory from Amazon and since there are countless third-party sellers on the online megastore with no other identity, I questioned who this manufacturer was. What I found out was that Lopie is a 16-year old company that strives to bring great products to consumers.
Lopie is a leather goods manufacturer based in Shenzhen, China. It was founded in 2006 and is an original 3C manufacturer. Their product lines are dedicated to mobile phone and tablet cases, watch bands and cables. Lopie has R&D, design, production, and sales integrated together to create and distribute valuable, quality products.

What makes the Handmade AirPods Pro Leather Case special?
For starters, the AirPods Pro leather case is made with premium materials. The exterior of the case is wrapped with full-grain leather while a soft microfiber lining helps to protect the AirPods’s charging case from getting scratched. The case is handcrafted – as the name suggests – which means that no two cases are 100% identical.
The AirPods Pro Leather Case offers 360-degree protection for the earbuds and their charging case. It’s designed to provide protection against scratches, dirt, and daily wear and tear. The case still allows for users to charge their AirPods via Lightning or wirelessly. The case comes with a carabiner so that you can clip it to a bag or belt loop.
This specific case is only compatible with Apple AirPods Pro (released in October 2019) and is not designed for the AirPods 1/2/3. Lopie offers a full refund or replacement product if something isn’t working with the case. The AirPods Pro Leather Case is available in black, red, brown, or blue.
How well did the AirPod Pro Leather Case work for me?
I was truly shocked when I liked the case by Lopie. As I mentioned, I usually stray away from accessories for my Apple earbuds, but this case really grew on me. The leather case is very soft to the touch and is offered in a variety of colors, which I appreciate. I opted for black because it matches pretty much everything. The case was easy to slip onto my AirPod Pro charging case.
The case comes in two pieces – the top and the base. At first, I was concerned that the top would fall off because it didn’t seem as though anything was holding it on. The case fit snugly around my AirPods and once it was on, I realized that the top wasn’t going to fall off.
I attached the carabiner clip to the handle of my Loungefly backpack and went on with my day. I ran errands, went shopping for prom accessories with my daughter, and the case was securely holding my beloved AirPods the entire time.
Even though getting the case on the AirPods was easy, getting it off was a chore. The top came off very easily, but I had to “shimmy” the bottom section left to right a couple of times before I was able to pull the AirPods case out. It wasn’t what I consider ‘difficult’ though and I had my AirPods case-free within a minute. Because it’s a bit of a struggle though, removing the case isn’t something I would want to do often.
Fortunately, I was able to charge my AirPods rather easily without removing the leather case. I really like that the case is both wireless charging compatible and open for the Lightning port. It definitely increases the ease of use for me.
Conclusion
Even though I don’t usually put an external case on my AirPods Pro, I really enjoy using this AirPods Pro Leather Case from Lopie. It was so impressive that I would give additional products from this company a try as well.
