Lately, I’ve been trying to decrease the amount of accessories I carry with me. At one point, I would carrying two cell phones (personal and work), my iPad 2, my iPad mini and a wall charger, plus charging cables to work with all my devices. Recently, I’ve limited it to my personal iPhone and my iPad mini and a backup battery charger. Unfortunately, I’ve been weighed down by the cable getting tangled in my purse. That’s why I love Kii by BlueLounge.

Kii is a compact charging cable for lightning compatible iOS devices, Apple 30-pin compatible devices or Micro-USB compatible devices. It is small, lightweight and fits on your keychain, which is perfect for carrying with you anywhere you go. Kii is designed to look like a key, which makes it inconspicuous and easily available at anytime. Kii is dual-sided. To use it, you simply un-latch the charger from the key head and plug the USB end into either a computer or other charger. Then, plug your device into the connector end.

Kii is a great option to have in case of emergencies and is ideal for traveling. Kii has a self-locking system that keeps the charging cable from slipping off of your keychain. As with most charging cables, it might be necessary to remove your device from its case in order to get a proper charge. The design of Kii is meant to be minimalistic and it works best with laptops or places where it can lay flat. If it cannot lay flat, undue stress will be made on the cable as well as the device’s charging port.

Kii has been a welcome addition to my accessory kit. It’s small and helps me with the clutter in my purse and works exceptionally well. The version I’ve been testing is has the lightning adapter. I’ve used it several times to charge my iPhone 5 and have had good success with it charging my phone quickly like a regular cable does. I love that I can easily take it with me wherever I go.
