A compact, affordable Mini PC solution
I’ve always considered myself operating system agnostic. I like to use both Windows and macOS devices and find both useful in their own ways. One thing I’ve never really liked though is the bulky tower-based machines. I value what they can do in terms of performance, but I dislike the amount of space they take up — especially when companies can make a fully functional desktop computer work inside a box that measures 5″ x 5″ x 2″ inches. This is why I think that Mini PCs are a good fit for people who value their desk real estate.

Unboxing & Setup
The KAMRUI GK3 Plus Mini PC arrived in a very simple brown cardboard box that read “Mini PC” on the outside of it. There was a sticker on the back that indicated what model was inside the box. Inside the box is the PC, which is very lightweight. It comes with a power cable, HDMI cable, and a VESA bracket. It does not come with a keyboard or mouse. I was surprised to find that there was no USB-C port available on the Mini-PC. I connected the PC to my monitor using the provided HDMI cable, and then connected a keyboard and mouse using USB-C to USB-A cables. After it was connected to power, turned the power on and waited for the PC to boot up.
Just like other Windows machines, the computer requested that I enter my Microsoft account information. After I did, the computer started doing updates. The system took approximately one hour to complete all the system updates. Once they were completed, I downloaded the following benchmark testing applications to run on the Mini-PC.

Testing
In order to get a complete picture of how a computer might best serve the user, we always complete a series of benchmark tests to assess how a machine will tolerate different tasks. Those tests include Geekbench AI, Geekbench, Cinebench, and a network speed test. With full systems, we also look at the performance of speakers, microphones, and keyboards, but because this system is limited to the machine only, we only completed the benchmark evaluations.
Geekbench AI
Geekbench AI is a benchmarking tool designed to evaluate the artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) capabilities of processors. It measures the performance of hardware in executing AI tasks, providing insights into how efficiently devices handle neural network workloads and other machine learning computations. According to Google’s AI overview, the average Geekbench AI score from recent results seems to be between 10,000-20,000 points with newer devices returning higher scores.
- Single Precision Score: 756
- Half Precision Score: 424
- Quantized Score: 937
Geekbench
Geekbench is a popular cross-platform benchmarking tool designed to measure the performance of hardware systems. Developed by Primate Labs, Geekbench provides detailed, standardized tests that evaluate the capabilities of CPUs, GPUs, and AI performance across a wide range of devices, including smartphones, tablets, laptops, desktops, and servers. Based on available benchmarks, the average Geekbench score for an Intel N95 processor is 1200 for single-core performance and 3000 for multi-core performance for the CPU benchmark, and around 2839 for the OpenCL score under GPU benchmark tests.
CPU Benchmark
- Single-Core Score: 1207
- Multi-Core Score: 2811
GPU Benchmark
- OpenCL Score: 3157
GFXBench
GFXBench is a versatile cross-platform benchmarking tool designed to evaluate the graphics performance and power efficiency of devices ranging from smartphones and tablets to desktops and laptops. Developed by Kishonti Ltd., GFXBench provides detailed tests simulating real-world graphics workloads, making it a trusted tool for gamers, developers, and hardware enthusiasts.

Cinebench
Cinebench is a benchmarking tool developed by Maxon to evaluate the performance of CPUs and GPUs, specifically focusing on rendering capabilities. Built on the same engine as Cinema 4D, Maxon’s professional 3D modeling and animation software, Cinebench is widely used to measure how well a system performs in real-world rendering tasks. The average score for an Intel N95 processor is 2045 for multi-core.

User Impressions
Beyond the benchmark tests, I also like to give some commentary on how machines operate. Here are some high-level thoughts I had after using this Mini PC.
OVERALL DESIGN: I love the form factor of the KAMRUI GK3Plus Mini PC. It’s the perfect size to use along with external peripherals at a workstation. I like the variety of ports that are provided but do believe it should have USB-C included. It’s very compact and lightweight, so I don’t think there would be any issues with mounting it to a monitor or beneath a desk. The Mini PC is very quiet. I honestly wasn’t sure if it was running the first time I turned it on. It has an LED light on the front that indicates what its power state is, which is a nice touch.
NETWORK SPEED: I tested the network speed by visiting speedtest.net and running a standard speed test. As you can see by the test results above, the speed wasn’t nearly as good as what the MacBook Pro was getting. Both machines were in the same area and connected to the same WiFi so I’m not sure why this was the case, but the Mini PC didn’t have nearly the speeds I expected it to have.

GENERAL PERFORMANCE: The Mini PC worked about how I expected it to with general tasks. I did notice that with no other applications actively running, there were still 158 processes utilizing 3% of the CPU’s resources. While this little machine would do just fine with basic tasks like email, Internet browsing, and word processing, I wouldn’t expect it to do very well with gaming or resource-intensive projects.
Conclusion
The KAMRUI GK3 Plus Mini PC is an excellent choice for users who prioritize desk space and appreciate the convenience of compact devices without sacrificing essential performance. Its form factor, quiet operation, and versatile port selection make it a strong candidate for home offices, media centers, or general-purpose computing.
While the lack of a USB-C port is a noticeable limitation and network performance was underwhelming compared to other devices, the GK3 Plus delivers reliable results for everyday tasks. For those seeking a budget-friendly, lightweight alternative to bulky desktop towers, the KAMRUI GK3 Plus offers a practical solution with a solid balance of functionality and affordability.
