InstaKitty 3D iOS Game Review:
I remember back in junior high and high school when small digital pets were all the rage. Most of them had the brand name ‘Tamagotchi,’ but there were many others that didn’t cost as much as the name brand version. These digital pets needed to be fed, watered, loved, bathed and even cleaned up after. If you left it along for too long uncared for, it would die. It was a constant contest among friends to see whose would last the longest. Now, there are a myriad of digital pets waiting for you on your mobile phone. And now, you can interact with friends and their pets, too.
InstaKitty 3D is one such virtual pet simulator that allows you to take care of a cat without having the responsibility of a living creature. These simulators can be a great deal of fun especially when you have several cats to play with. Developer HappyGiant is building upon the popularity of games like Nintendogs & Cats in the hopes of capturing the players who enjoy interacting with their virual animals.

When I first loaded the app onto my phone, I really wasn’t sure what to expect. It’s actually got a quite impressive interface and is very easy to play. The one thing I don’t really like about it is its freemium purchases. In order to get a second cat, you have to purchase one with real money and not rewards from the game.
I was even surprised to find that there is also Apple Watch support for InstaKitty 3D. I started receiving reminders and gift alerts after I put my phone down the first time.
All in all, InstaKitty 3D is a fun game. I enjoyed testing it out. The cat is very expressive and the graphics are beautiful. If you like animal simulators and virtual pets, InstaKitty 3D might be for you.
