Build Quality & Design
The Huanuo Laptop monitor mount is made out of an extremely durable steel with a tough black coating that’s not only scratch and wear-resistant but looks great also. All of the hardware included also has the same finish as the body of the mount. This is a nice touch as it ensures all parts and pieces will hold up for years to come. All pieces that are meant to touch your desk surface are also equipped with a foam backing to help keep your desk free from scratches.
Adjustability & Flexibility
The multifunctional mount is designed with an adjustable arm that provides a tilt of around 45 degrees, a swivel of around 90 degrees, and a full 360-degree rotation. That being said do note that doesn’t mean your monitor will be 17 inches off the desk, that will depend on where the mounting is located on your monitor. The way they designed mounting to your desk is one thing I found as a very good selling point to this mount as not only does it give you the option of a non-invasive clamp that can be removed and moved to the next desk, but if you’re looking for a more long term and sturdy brace, they provide you with the option to drill a hole in your desk and screw it directly to it giving you a solid long-lasting and space-saving mount.
Overall Thoughts & Conclusion
So, when I first started my search for a new stand, I was looking for a 3-arm mount for my personal desk but when I came across this mount with the laptop stand, I knew it was just what I was looking for to ramp up my Wife’s space and get her some more room on her desk. When I first opened this HUANUO HNCM2 Laptop & Monitor Mount, I was extremely happy to get this put together and clean up my wife’s desk space.
I chose to use the solid mount by drilling a hole as her desk is tight to a wall and I wanted the mount on the back we don’t plan on moving the setup around so I was happy to solid mount it, the instructions were very clear and made that process extremely easy. Now for the disappointing part, once I had everything set up and my monitor mounted, I put my laptop on the stand and well the screen from my laptop and the monitor display overlapped. As I was trying to get them to be where the screen lived above the laptop and unfortunately that is just not something this mount can do, it works perfectly for putting them side by side especially if you have a wireless keyboard you plan to keep on your desk.
So that being said, for the price, this stand really does meet your expectations when it comes to strength, price, and design, it might not be the most advanced with gas struts or LED lights but if you just want an inexpensive mount then this might just be exactly what you were looking for.
