Fix troublesome iPhone issues easily
Not long ago I was having a simple sync issue with an iOS app. The problem I was having was that it stopped communicating with iCloud but just on the iPhone X. My macOS app and iPad app worked correctly. So after hitting up the FAQ on the developer’s website and not getting much help via email support, I decided it might be time for a hard reset.
On older iPhones (older than iPhone 7), hard resets consisted of pressing the sleep-wake/power and home button but on the new iPhone X, we are missing the home button. So for all of you looking to fix small issues that might have gone haywire over time, here are some instructions on how to complete a hard reset on the iPhone X.
Step 1: Press Volume Up
Quickly press and release the Volume Up button.
Step 2: Press Volume Down
Quickly press and release the Volume Down button.
Step 3: Press and hold Power Button
Press and hold the power button until you see the Apple logo then release.
Force reboot can fix lots of problems from sync issues to lack of touch control and a lot more. It is definitely not the solution to fix all problems so please attempt to run down the specific issue you are having before jumping to the hard reboot. If after you are still having trouble, try contacting support.Apple.com as your issue might need a higher level of support.
