TYLT’s reversible USB charge and sync cable.
Last year, accessory company TYLT released the Syncable-Duo, a cable that allows you to charge both Lightning compatible and Micro-USB compatible devices. That cable eliminated the need for multiple cables by incorporating both types of connectors into one product. The cable is a Micro-USB cable with an adapter for the Lightning connector. It’s a huge help when you are on the go and carry many cables with you to ensure that you can always be connected. The best part is that the cable is MFi certified and you can charge and sync Apple devices with it.
Now, you are probably wondering why I am talking so much about this cable that was released last year. Well, it’s because they have improved it by releasing the FLYP-DUO cable.
FLYP-DUO is a charging/syncing cable that is built on the Syncable-Duo’s concept, but adds a reversible USB connector. There is nothing more annoying than being in a hurry and having to fight your USB cable. With the reversible USB connector, you can plug it in without looking. No more flipping over and over again just to plug in. You will see in the side-by-side comparison photography below why there is such a large difference between a standard USB connector and the FLYP-DUO.
TYLT makes some of the nicest accessories I’ve seen. I always find myself enjoying my experience with their products and with the FLYP-DUO, using USB cables just become a lot less cumbersome. It’s the perfect solution for people with multiple different kinds of devices. It’s great because I can now carry just one cable when I pack up my electronics to go somewhere and I’ll know that I have everything I need.
FLYP-DUO charges and syncs beautifully. I’ve used it with my iPhone 6 Plus for Lightning charging. It charges just as fast as a standard Lightning cable and I’ve used it with a battery pack to test out the Micro-USB end and have had good results with it, too.
TYLT really considers their audience when developing products. I’m seeing more and more people shy away from dull colorless cables and opening themselves up to brightly colored cables like the ones that TYLT provides. There are four color choices with the FLYP-DUO – black, green, blue, and red. They also provide a choice in length – 30cm (1 ft) or 1-meter (3.3 ft).
The cable is a little higher priced than some replacements, but when you consider the reversible USB connector along with the 2-in-1 option for charging, it is really worth it.
