User Impressions

What I am here to tell you about is the FlexiSpot C7 mesh with the footstool (a chair I am currently sitting in).  This C7 chair has been made to fit all your comfort needs without spending a fortune. They really did try to hit all the areas on a chair that you would want to be able to conform to your comfort. They gave an adjustable headrest that raises, lowers, and tilts forward and backward. You are also given a Self-Adaptive back support, they call it self-adaptive but it is more like a flexible lumbar support that you can change the lever on the back to lock or unlock to fit your back then you want to sit straight and have good posture when working away, but then you can adjust it for then you want to Strech out and take a break from that screen time!

They give you the option for a 6” padded high-quality styling foam, or the 5” High-quality breathable mesh like I have on both of my chairs currently. The armrests are multi-directional with a rigid foam pad, the top pad is 10” long with a front-to-rear taper of 3” to 4”. The arm pad also moves 3” forward for those that have a longer reach, they also swivel from side to side with three locking positions so they Arnt moving around on you, on center, and one about 20 degrees to the left and the right and they also raise 3.5 inches for those who are taller as well. Then you will have your standard adjustments like the forward seat tilt and the adjustable Height starting at 16” from the floor to 19”.

Then you have the lean back, with the C7 you have a 105-degree adjustment with a lever to lock it at a position of your comfort. A very cool thing that they added was a rotatable armature that controls how easy it is to lean back, so if you like to lean back through the day but don’t want it to be so sensitive that you feel like you’re falling backward in your chair, you can adjust the back to be harder or softer to lean. Another feature is that the seat base can slide forward as well.  wow! I feel like that’s a lot of information! Oh, wait! Did I not mention the footrest?  yeah, that’s right you can get this chair with a footrest! So, the footrest can be tucked under if you don’t want it, but with the ease of a push of a button you can flip it out and you can feel it securely locked into place. Once locked in you can telescope it out 6”. To be honest my wife uses the heck out of that footrest, if not for lounging in, she would sit crisscrossed in the chair and it is made more comfortable for her because of the extra legroom. 

Packaging & Setup

So, I’m not going to lie to you guys here, when I received my first chair, I noticed that the outer box was slightly abused and could tell that it had been lying around for a while and slid around the warehouse. So, before opening, I was slightly skeptical. Once I opened it and took all the parts out, I noticed that things weren’t packaged quite right, and the instructions were missing. On top of that, there was some damage to the bolts and some of the other chair pieces. So, I sent them an email that night, and the next day they reached out and wanted pictures of the damage, a very reasonable request, so I obliged and sent them photos of the damage and without hesitation, they sent out another one.

Come to find out someone in the warehouse accidentally sent out a return they had set aside. A simple mistake that they very quickly resolved for me. A few days later another box had arrived, and it was clearly a new box with no damage and the cardboard was clean ha-ha. Now I have a chance to see what the packaging looks like new; I can honestly say I was happy with what I found. They not only had all the pieces wrapped in plastic, but they also had a layer of cardboard in between them to keep them secure during shipping.

Now that I had all the parts taken out of the box and placed out, I then took a look at the instructions, they were extremely simple for better or worse, all they gave you was a picture of what you were to do next, I would have personally liked to have a description of the task as well but I made do with what they had given me. Overall, their construction only took about 20 minutes to do, and it was very easy. They supplied you with a tool and all the necessary bolts and even a few extras in case you managed to lose one, I know we were all guilty of that at one time or another.  Once put together I now have a very stylish and comfortable office chair!

Overall conclusion

So, I have been using this chair for some time now and have been extremely happy with the design and especially the comfort. When I first put this together, I thought to myself how in the heck could that be comfortable, that lumbar is just so big, well I’m here to tell you that they knew what they were doing because it is perfectly placed to give you all the support exactly where you need it.

Although the controls are kind of hard to get the hang of as they are close together, they do give you a ton of options for customizability when it comes to your comfort. So yes, I would absolutely recommend this chair to someone who is looking to up their office experience or even to just add some style to a desk they rarely use, it checks the box for extreme comfort and great style, so don’t hesitate to check out their website and get yourself one!
