Includes New Time Proposals, Meetup.com Support, Exchange Invitation Enhancements, Improved Timed Events And More

Flexibits today announced an update for Fantastical 2 for Mac. Version 2.5 adds many frequently requested and powerful features to the Apple Design Award-winning macOS calendar app and is a free update for existing users.

Version 2.5 includes sending and receiving new time proposals on Exchange, iCloud, Google, and other CalDAV accounts. When users are sent an invite and need to propose an alternate time, they can simply click the option to propose a new time and a response will be sent to the organizer. The organizer can then quickly accept or reject the suggested changes.

Also included in version 2.5 is full support for Meetup. Simply add a Meetup account and users can quickly find local meetups by viewing and responding to their Meetup events directly in Fantastical.

Version 2.5 includes support for sending Exchange invitations that don’t require responses from invitees as well as many refinements and improvements that make things faster and more pleasant to use. Improvements include showing multiday timed events in the all-day section, changing start dates quickly via the keyboard, and optimized subscription loading

Designed exclusively for macOS, Fantastical 2 for Mac includes features such as a full calendar window (with day, week, month, and year views), an intuitive parsing engine, iCloud reminders support, light theme, time zone support, birthday and anniversary alerts, and much more.

“Fantastical 2.5 continues to add functionality that makes using a calendar more powerful and more flexible,” said Michael Simmons, Co-founder of Flexibits. “We’re looking forward to having Fantastical users take advantage of the new features in version 2.5.”

Fantastical 2 for Mac lets users quickly and easily create, view, and search all of their events and reminders. The advanced natural language engine is extremely expressive, enabling users to enter event or reminder details in their own style. For example, users can enter sentences such as “Lunch with John at 123 Main Street on Tuesday”. And with support for reminders, users can enter sentences such as “todo Pick up dry cleaning on Friday” and a dated reminder will be created, ready to check off when the time is right.

Fantastical 2 for Mac is fully localized in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish. Users can enter their events and reminders in their preferred language and Fantastical 2 automagically detects the entered language, regardless of the system’s language setting. macOS dictation makes it easy to quickly create events or reminders by speaking a sentence.
