Facebook fixes black screen.
Since iOS 8 was released, I’ve had a buggy experience with Facebook. They have posted a few updates always stating the same thing in the release notes:
“Thanks for using Facebook To make our app better for you, we bring updates to the App Store every 4 weeks. If you have iOS7 or up, you can update the app automatically (without checking back here) by going to Settings > iTunes & App Store > Automatic Downloads and turning on Updates.
Every update of our Facebook app includes improvements for speed and reliability. As other new features become available, we’ll highlight those for you in the app.”
I’ve noticed this has been the same in every release note under Version History five or more updates. This kind of bugs me as it’s not describing what fixes or changes they are making with the app. One change I’ve been looking for since iOS 8 released is the removal of the black screen that has been popping up when I first open Facebook. The screen turns black and stays that way while the app loads. This is something that Facebook has fixed in this latest update, but I’m noticing that Facebook on my iPhone 6 Plus is running slower and taking longer to load even without the black screen popping up.
Facebook has also improved the app with correcting its design to fit more on the screen taking advantage of the screen size of the new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.
If you notice any improvements or changes we missed let us know below.
