Doctor Disc Cleaner is an all-in-one cleanup application for your Mac. It’s free, easy to use, and quick.
Upon opening Doctor Disc Cleaner, you are introduced to the Memory Optimizer and the One-Click Cleaner. The former informs you which applications are taking up significant amounts of memory, shows your available memory, and gives you the option of optimizing your memory by clicking a button, which basically just speeds up your Mac by freeing up RAM used by other applications. In theory. I can’t say I noticed much change in speed after pressing the “Optimize” button.
The One-Click Cleaner gets rid of “quickly cleanable junk files” like application logs and caches. The more useful part of this feature lies in the Full Disk Scan option below the quick clean button. It scans your computer and details the junk files and the particularly large files bogging you down. It shows where they are and how much space they occupy, and makes it easy to delete whichever files you want, right from the application window. Of course, you don’t have to go through all the files and delete things individually. You can clear your trash, application caches and logs, partial downloads, and browser history and cookies all at once, if you so choose.
On a side note, if you uninstall an application while you have Doctor Disc Cleaner running, it gives you the option of running a deep uninstallation to free up extra space. I didn’t know that was a thing, but it was a nice surprise.
Doctor Disc Cleaner makes cleaning up your Mac simple and speedy. Best of all, it’s a free application, so even if there isn’t a noticeable difference in the speed of your Mac after using the Memory Optimizer, you aren’t losing anything.
