Absolutely incredible sound and comfort from these earbuds.

I use headphones frequently. I will listen to music at work and I’ll listen while I’m at the store. Ever since I got them, the Apple AirPods have been my favorite earbuds. Other earbuds don’t usually fit my inner ear very well and they will either slip out or they won’t form a tight enough seal to provide a high-quality sound for me. I’ve been testing headphones of all types since I got the AirPods to see if any of them could beat the Apple headphones. I finally found them — the Nano 1S True Wireless Headphones by Crazybaby.

USER EXPERIENCE

My testing experience with the Nano 1S headphones started like most of my reviews. I opened the box and was greeted by the site of a white pill-like case that house the earbuds. I pulled them out of their box and then emptied the rest of the package, which included Silicone Ear Tips SML, a USB-C to USB Charging Cable, and a quick start guide. Even though I’m pretty well-versed with how to start up and pair wireless earbuds, I actually read through the instructions first. I was happy to find that the headphones first pair to each other and then to the mobile device (in my case, an iPhone XS) as a single unit.

I pulled the headphones out of their case and found that they had approximately 70% charge out of the box. After pairing them to my phone, I placed them in my ears and started listening to music. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the earpieces fit me well. The ear tips fit tightly in my ear canal but were still comfortable and didn’t cause a ‘vacuum’ effect. They are very lightweight and I was able to wear them for several hours without them hurting my ears. This is a big deal to me because traditional earbuds usually cause earaches for me within about 30 minutes of wearing them.

In addition to them being comfortable, I was able to enjoy all types of music as well as movies and TV shows being streamed from my iPhone. Everything sounded impeccable. Music was rich and full and TV shows were easy to hear (sometimes the vocal tracks get lost in the mix). I found the listening experience to be better than what I get with the Apple AirPods. With that said, I actually started using the Nano 1S more than the AirPods. The only ‘complaint’ I have is that the 5-hour play time that is reported within their specs on the Crazybaby website doesn’t seem to track accurately. I know I was using them quite a bit directly out of the box (when they started at 70%) but it did seem like I had to charge them only after 3 hours of actual play time.

CONCLUSION

One of the main reasons that I fell in love with the Nano 1S headphones is because of their fit. That is, incidentally, the same reason I favored the AirPods for so long. So few earbuds actually fit my ears well that I was surprised at how comfortable these were for me. Not only are the comfortable, but the Nano 1S headphones are also very easy to use and they provide outstanding sound performance for the user.  At $129, these headphones retail $30 less than the AirPods, too. The Nano 1S headphones are affordable, reliable, and comfortable to wear. I recommend them to anyone who enjoys traditional earbuds but don’t usually find them comfortable. I think these headphones will change your mind.
