User Experience
The Corsair TC500 LUXE Gaming Chair comes in a large shipping box. All the parts are wrapped up with shipping material. Assembly wasn’t difficult other than that dealing with the weight of the chair. The first step is to insert the wheels into the 5-star base. Then you install the piston into the center of the base. From there, the seat is set on top of the piston and then the back is screwed into the seat. All in all, I think it took maybe 30 minutes to complete the assembly process.
At this point, it’s important to learn about all the different adjustments that are available and how each mechanism on the chair is set. I have made the mistake of sitting in a chair immediately after putting it together and not spending the time to learn what each adjustment is and how to operate it. Here is a quick guide on the controls on the TC500.
- To Recline → pull the lever on the right-hand side, then recline backward to your preferred position, and release the lever.
- Tilt Tension → Twist the knob under the seat. If the seat is too difficult or too easy to tilt, this knob will allow you to adjust that setting. Note: to lock the tilt at its current position, or to unlock it, use the lever under the left-hand side of the chair.
- Height → Use the lever under the right-hand side of the chair
- Lumbar Support → Turn the knobs on either side. One side adjusts the lumbar up and down, and the other side adjusts it forward and back.
- Arm Rests (up and down) → Pull the lever under the armrest and slide the armrest to your preferred position, then release.
