Discover how Corsair’s Galleon 100 SD merges high-performance mechanical typing with a fully integrated Stream Deck for creators and gamers.

I’ve always been a big fan of mechanical keyboards. The satisfying tactile feedback, the precision, and the customizability make them a joy to use whether I’m gaming or working. At the same time, I’ve really grown to appreciate Elgato’s programmable hardware, especially the Stream Deck, which makes managing shortcuts, macros, and streaming controls effortless. So when Corsair announced the Galleon 100 SD, a keyboard that combines a high-end mechanical layout with a fully integrated Stream Deck, I was immediately intrigued. The idea of having a single device that merges responsive typing, advanced customization, and an intuitive control panel was too compelling to pass up, and I couldn’t wait to see how it performs in real-world use.

About Corsair Galleon 100 SD Mechanical Keyboard

The CORSAIR Galleon 100 SD is a high-performance mechanical keyboard designed for creators and gamers who want a streamlined setup. It combines a full-sized keyboard with an integrated Stream Deck, giving you customizable keys, dials, and shortcuts right at your fingertips. Featuring hot-swappable linear switches, per-key RGB lighting, and a quiet gasket-mounted design, the Galleon 100 SD balances tactile precision with smooth, responsive input. Built with a detachable memory-foam wrist rest, dedicated media controls, and an 8,000 Hz polling rate, it’s engineered for comfort, speed, and versatility. Whether you’re streaming, editing, or gaming, this keyboard centralizes your workflow into a single, powerful hub.

User Experience

From the moment I unboxed the Galleon 100 SD, it felt like a premium product. The keyboard comes well-packaged in a sleek retail box, with two USB cables, a cloth cover for shipping or storage, a keycap puller, and a magnetic plush wrist rest. The wrist rest is a nice touch. It’s soft, comfortable, and the magnetic attachment keeps it from sliding around while you type. Overall, the build feels solid and robust, like this keyboard is built to last.

Corsair Galleon 100 SD Keyboard

Setup is straightforward. I connected it to my MacBook Pro, installed the Elgato Stream Deck software, and started customizing the keys and dials. Typing on this keyboard is really nice. It has that classic mechanical feel, and even though it’s full-size, it doesn’t feel bulky. My usual typing average is 73 WPM, but on this keyboard, I hit 78 WPM with 97% accuracy. It’s fast, responsive, and just feels right for long sessions.

I think it was a brilliant design choice to put the Stream Deck in the same place as the number pad. You can use it as the number pad, utility hot keys, or the Stream Deck. Basically, the keys double as a multifunction area, so even if the Stream Deck software isn’t running, you can still use them as a standard number pad or utility buttons. It’s a smart use of space, and the display looks great while the RGB lighting is bright without being distracting. Between the display, the controls, and the keyboard itself, everything feels well thought out.

Corsair Galleon 100 SD Keyboard

Performance has been rock solid. I ran a polling test and got a maximum of 1000Hz, more than enough for both typing and gaming. One small quirk is that if you want to use the USB passthrough port, the keyboard requires a second cable. One handles the keyboard and Stream Deck features, while the other powers the passthrough at full strength. It is a wired keyboard, which makes sense considering all the features packed in. This setup keeps latency low and the connection stable, though it does make the keyboard heavier and less portable.

Corsair Galleon 100 SD Keyboard

Price is probably the biggest hurdle at nearly $350, but it makes sense when you consider that it combines a high-end mechanical keyboard with a fully integrated Stream Deck. For streamers, content creators, or power users who want everything in one device, it is a very well-designed, versatile, and enjoyable keyboard. Between the comfortable typing, the multifunctional Stream Deck, and the premium build, it is easy to see why this keyboard stands out even if it is not cheap or wireless.

Corsair Galleon 100 SD Keyboard

Conclusion

The Corsair Galleon 100 SD is a unique keyboard that successfully merges a premium mechanical typing experience with the versatility of an integrated Stream Deck. It offers fast, responsive typing, a multifunctional control panel, and a solid, well-built design. While the price and the need for a wired setup may be a consideration, the value it provides for streamers, content creators, and power users makes it a compelling choice. If you want one device that can handle both your productivity and creative workflows, the Galleon 100 SD delivers on its promise.
