ConnectSense’s newest smart plug adds Android support and is now available to customers nationwide

ConnectSense, a leading manufacturer of home automation products, today announces the release of the Smart Outlet ² to its product lineup. The newest smart plug works seamlessly with Siri (Apple HomeKit), Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant to allow users to easily control and monitor their everyday plug-in devices, such as lights, fans, and other small appliances.

The Smart Outlet² now supports Android, in addition to iOS, and can be accessed remotely through the ConnectSense app for real-time updates of your plug-in devices. Unlike many other smart outlets that require additional gateways or hubs, the ConnectSense Smart Outlet² works with the Wi-Fi network already in a home.

With two separately controlled outlets and a USB charging port, Smart Outlet ² fits over any existing standard North American electrical outlet. After installing the outlet, users can configure it using the ConnectSense app available in the App Store and Google Play Store, easily creating custom schedules to turn on and off plug-in devices automatically, ensuring you’ll never come home to a dark house or devices that have been powered on all day.

With detailed power monitoring in the iOS app, users have insight into the power consumption of devices plugged into the Smart Outlet², as well as how long devices have been turned on. Energy characteristics use can be used for automation, such as dimming the lights when the TV turns on.

“We are committed to evolving our product offerings to create an easy-to-use, seamless way for people to better control and monitor their homes,” said Adam Justice, Founder of ConnectSense. “In our continued effort to meet our customers demands, we’ve added a more robust voice control offerings with the Smart Outlet² and are excited to expand the IoT product landscape to Android users.”

Features:

  • Two Wi-Fi connected sockets that can be monitored and controlled individually
  • Control from anywhere with the free ConnectSense App for iOS or Android.
  • Control with your voice using Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit or the Google Assistant
  • Monitor energy usage for your plug-in devices
  • 2.4 amp USB charging port for rapid charging of smartphones and tablets

Priced at $59, the ConnectSense Smart Outlet² is now shipping and available for order at ConnectSense.com and on Amazon.com.
