Tiny hidden spy camera packs a big punch with capturing video.
While I’ve never been much into Cloak & Dagger-type missions, I definitely see the value of a hidden camera. Sometimes you want to catch an employee in the act of stealing or a rogue nanny in the act of abusing your children. For those instances, a spy camera might be just what you need. In the past few months, I’ve had the opportunity to test out several different kinds, but none were as small and as hidden as this one from Conbrov.
Conbrov’s Hidden Spy Camera is a very unique little camera. It’s marketed as the world’s smallest real starlight night vision video camera. The camera has built in sound and motion recording features and has the option of loop recording, which overwrites the oldest file when the Micro SD card is full. The built-in rechargeable battery allows for up to 2 hours of continuous recording (or 60 minutes with night vision) and up to 5 hours of standby time. The hidden spy camera has a 75-degree lens angle and records in AVI video format. It does record in 720P HD resolution at 30FPS with audio. It will support Micro SD cards up to 32GB in size (not included).
I was very impressed by the Conbrov Hidden Spy Camera. It’s very lightweight and comes with a lot of clips so that you can wear it or attach it to different articles of clothing or bags. The instructions are written well, but can be a little complicated if you don’t read them carefully. It took me a while to learn what the different light indicators meant and which order the lights blinked in to know what the camera was doing, but all of the main functions worked very well. The video quality was also very good. It wasn’t as clear as a lot of 1080P HD security cameras, but it was clear enough to see what was going on. I do wish that the camera was shipped with a Micro SD card since it won’t work without one, but I could over look that for the general functionality that was easy to use. The motion and sound detection works flawlessly and I would love to see this used in a really covert operation – like planting it in a stuffed animal or something like that.
This spy camera retails for around $50 and is a solid piece of technology.
