CLIC Wooden Case is a welcome accessory for the iPhone.

I don’t like cases on my iPhone. Ever since Steve Jobs showed off the iPhone 5, caseless, I decided that carrying a naked iPhone makes sense. After all, if the CEO of the company is comfortable doing it, why shouldn’t I? The iPhone has a naturally, beautiful design and is built to be tough, but it’s not flawless. The aluminum case is prone to scratches and the screen can be broken if it falls to the ground. With that in mind, my iPhone 6s Plus, can be found housed in a case – if the case fits my criteria. First, it must be slim and form fitting to the iPhone. Second, the case must serve a purpose. And, third, it has to look good. The CLIC Wooden from Native Union fits all three to a tee. I was lucky enough on my last day at CES to meet the great guys at Native Union. The founder took a few minutes to show me some of there awesome products. A few I had already reviewed but others like a marble iPhone case that just looked insanely unique.

CLIC Wooden iPhone 6s Plus Case Review

Naturally, the first thing you are going to notice about this case is that it’s wooden. It’s made primarily from solid American timber. This gives the case a real, hand-crafted feel to it. That is very unique. Each case is cut from sustainable solid cherry or walnut timber and sanded by hand. Because it’s made from wood, a natural material, the case has it’s own distinctive coloring and grain. It ages to perfection over time. The CLIC Wooden iPhone Case is built to be slim and strong. This is another feature I like – my phone is well-protected when it’s resting inside the CLIC.

Another great feature of CLIC Wooden is its open-ended design. The bottom and top of the case are open so that you can use it with most accessories and even some charging docks. Even the buttons are cut-outs so that you can have easy, full access to all your buttons and ports. There is a bit of plastic melded with the wood to create a truly special look for the iPhone. While it helps to provide strength for the case, it also adds a little bit of slickness, too. The plastic is smooth and glossy, which can make it easy to slip out of your hands. I have found that slipping the phone in and out of the case is very easy and honestly, because of its open design, I find myself not having to do that very often.

CLIC Wooden iPhone 6s Plus Case Review

The CLIC Wooden iPhone case is available for the iPhone 6/6s and iPhone 6/6s Plus. There are several color options including black/walnut, coral/cherry, marine/cherry, olive/walnut, blossom/walnut, and white/cherry. For someone who typically doesn’t enjoy cases, I have kept this one on my phone without any complaint for quite some time. It accentuates the beauty of the iPhone and adds a layer of protection that wasn’t there before. The CLIC Wooden is a very welcome addition to my iPhone accessories.
