Great headphones for creating quiet moments.
At the end of May this year, we welcomed a new furry member to our family — a Yorkshire Terrier. He was around 3 months old when we adopted him and now, he’s just over 9 months and still very much a puppy. For the most part, he’s very well-behaved and he’s learning well, but sometimes, he has a hard time communicating and that ends up causing a barking chorus that is nearly nonstop. We try our best to figure out what he wants, but sometimes it just takes a while. Being a small dog, he has a high shrill bark that just cuts right through you. For those times that you just can’t escape it, the Flow II Wireless Hybrid Noise Canceling Headphones can help provide a quiet respite.

USER EXPERIENCE
The Flow II Wireless Hybrid Noise Canceling Headphones come in a Cleer branded box with an image of the product on the front. Inside the box, you will find the travel case and below that is the quick start guide. The headphones and all of its accessories are packed away in the travel case. One of the first things I took note of was the fact that these headphones charge using USB-C. This is one of the upgrades that was made from the first version of the Flow headphones which charged using Micro USB.

The headphones have the same basic design as the original Flow headphones. The main controls are touch-based and are located on the left earpiece. There are three tactile buttons on the bottom of the left earpiece that control the power, noise-canceling, and Google Assistant functions of the headphones. The 3.5mm headphone port is also located on the bottom of this earpiece. The original Flow headphones also came with removable decoration for the outside of the earpieces. The Flow II headphones do not.

As far as comfort goes, I found the Flow IIs to be lightweight and easy to wear. The ear cups completely cover my ears and create natural noise isolation. The noise-canceling feature is very good. The Ambient normal mode allows you to hear air handling and other intricate noises like the clicks of a keyboard. When you enable the ANC the air handling noise is completely eliminated and so are other shallow noises. As for high-pitched dog barks, they are muted quite a bit. I can still hear them, but the reverberation that one would normally hear is eliminated just like the air handling.
The sound quality is also very good. I listened to several different genres of music and watched TV shows and movies while wearing the Flow II Wireless Hybrid Noise Canceling Headphones and thought everything sounded amazing.

CONCLUSION
The Flow II Wireless Hybrid Noise Canceling Headphones are currently (as of this review being published) priced at $249 USD. That is in line with other noise-canceling premium headphones in the market. I’ve been really happy with how well these headphones have been performing and think that they are a step above their previous model.
