ChargeKey is a simply elegant charging cable for all your iOS devices.
Technology is my passion. I love playing with new apps and gadgets and finding awesome stuff that makes life simple and stress free. So, when I found a new startup named Nomad, I watched them like a hawk. They have really innovated how the oldest tech accessory, the charging cable, has been designed. Last month, we reviewed the ChargeCard by the Nomad team. If you read that review, you would remember that we think it’s just genius creating a charging cable in the the form of a credit card. Today, we have the pleasure of reviewing the second product from Hello Nomad, the ChargeKey.
ChargeKey, was successfully launched on Indiegogo after Nomad launched ChargeCard, their first product, last year on Kickstarter. ChargeCard exceeded it’s goal by 300%.
Nomad has a lot of competition when it comes to the world of selling cables, but with the way they make these accessories, why would anyone want anything made from anyone else?
The ChargeKey, like the ChargeCard, is made with high grade plastics from Bayer Germany and GLS.
ChargeKey gets it’s name because it’s a charging cable the size of a key. ChargeKey weighs less then my house key and fits on my keyring easily making it the perfect accessory for anyone. The open face design keeps you from worrying about losing caps like some thumb drives that are stored on key rings.
ChargeKey can not only charge your lighting enabled device, but it can also sync to your computer. The center of the ChargeKey is bendable thus allowing you to charge your device in some of the most awkward positions.
I’m very OCD about how my cables are at my home office. I want everything hidden so I can have a clean working area. Every cable has its place and the ChargeKey has its place with me being my default go to cable when at home. Why have a three foot cable dangling on your desk when you can keep the clutter away by using the ChargeKey?
In the nomadic spirit, Nomad accepts barters as a way for people/companies to exchange their own goods and services for ChargeCards/ChargeKeys. When launched they received an overwhelming response, ranging from custom bikes and die-stamped office furniture to wall art and artisanal popcorn. Send them a message with what you might have to bater the worst that can happen is they say no.
In conclusion, keeping the dreaded low battery warning away using the ChargeKey is definitely worth the price and time it takes to get. This little cable packs a big punch when it comes to keeping life simple/charged. I definitely recommend the ChargeKey to everyone.
You can find the ChargeKey for preorder along with the ChargeCard for sale at HelloNomad.com for $25.00.
